Prequel or Sequel to Rocky Horror. To many incidents point to either or. But for the most part, fun to watch. Jessica Harper is not a bad Janet, but Brad was ruined with Cliff De Young. Look for things as the 'UFO over Denton' while newspaper headlines are being reviewed. Or Frank's cape hanging on the wall during the "Look What I Did To My Id" segment.
The first movie that started Romero's Zombie movies. A brother and sister go to visit their deceased mother, only to be confronted by the living dead in the cemetery. The brother is knocked unconscious and the sister escape to a near by farm house. There she meets up with more survivors and the walking dead.
Its the 1970s and zombies have slowly migarted into society. People have kept their loved ones around even after death only to find they have turned into flesh eating zombies. Pennsylvania is still the setting for this movie, and the Monroe Mall is the setting for this movie. An empty mall at first is safety for a group of survivors....then comes the bikers and the zombies.
The third installment to the Romero Zombie saga. This takes place in the 80s', where earth is infested by Zombies, and only a small group of people survive in a nuclear bunker in Florida. But as the story unfolds, so does the trust in the group, and its survival of the fittest against the horde of zombies outside the bunker. Great... and GORY special effects,.
George Romero kept a good head on his shoulders for this remake of the classic orginal. Set in the 90's, this does have a bit of a twist in the plot. Great effects!
The latest Zombie movie from Romero, set in the near future where the world is overrun by Zombies except for cities that have built large walls around them.
A great sequel to the original, again great music, and the dead have come back to party and eat brains. This time though, the army is ready for them... look for special 'zombies', such as Petre Lore, and Michale Jackson.
Excellent movie tying G1 and G2 together while offing a few of the older Autobots. Megatron has finally flipped his lid and leads an all out attack against the Autobots and Earth, aiming not to leave them standing. That is until Optimus Prime steps in and thats when all Hell breaks loose in the Transformers universe. All your favorite G1s are in here, including Astrotrain :). Music is on the 80's Metal side of sound which works very well with this movie!
The movie that started it all, watch as the little VW Herbie races his way to fame and fortune. Buddy Hackett is the only one who believes and talks to Herbie until Dean Jones finally sees what Herbie can and actually does.
Herbie is backthis time hes living with an old lady in an old Firehouse with Living objects such as a Grandfather clock and an old trolly. Then you have Mr. Hawk who wants the land the old Firehouse is on, its up to Herbie to save the day once again. Also watch as Herbie enlists the other VW bugs in the area for a massive attack against Mr. Hawk.
Herbie finds romance (a femal blue racing car) during the Monte Carlo race. While two crooks who stole a diamond must use the race as a covery until the heat blows over, that is until Herbie discovers their plot.
More of a publicity for Julie Strain, no way near the quality and tale telling as the original, but worth checking out. OST is by newer (or at the time) grunge bands.
Make sure to watch the 1977 version, the 1994 was defaced like art by its own creator. Star Wars, Hero, Villain, Hero saves damsel in distress.... all in a galaxy far, far away.
What the hell was this..this is what happens when you make a box office smash and attempt to make a Christmas special using the characters from it. The Bobafett cartoon is slick, but the singing Princess Lea... yeah Lucas was sniffin some glue when he made this.
Marty and Doc are back, and this time Marty and his girlfriend go to the future to see how they turn out (from the end of PT1), only to find out their world is turned upside down! While in the future Marty picks up a Sports Almanac from decades ago, to take back to 1985 and make some money by betting on sports, but the Old Biff from the future gets the book and takes it back to 1955 and gives it to himself which as a result corrupts the time line once again and its up to Marty, Doc and the Time Machine to put things right.
The final installment takes Marty back to 1855 in the old West to rescue Doc from Biff's ancestor Mad Dog Tannen. While back in 1855 Doc finds himself also in romance with the local school teacher, and not to mention, a great ending involving a classic steam locomotive!
Where can you go wrong in this adventure... Harison Ford, Nazi's and the lost Ark. Indy must find and recover the Ark before the Nazi's, if the Nazi's get the Ark the world will end.
A little weak from its original, but still enough adventure, Indy is back with a new group to recover ancient stones that were stolen and used to enslave all children in India.
The third time is the charm, this is as equal in adventure and humor as the first Indy. Indy is back (along with the Nazi's) and now Indy's father (Sean Connery). The Nazi's have captured Indy's father, and his life long diary that contains the whereabouts of the Cup of Life which Jesus drank from which gives the drinker immortality. No need to say why the Nazi's want this cup.
The one that started it all, filmed in B&W to appear to be viewed from a security camera. Dante the dedicated worker at the Quickstop, Randal the clerk at the Video store (nex to the Quickstop), and how these two guys can get into so much trouble in one day. Then have Jay and Silent Bob, two stoners who deal in front of the Quickmart, they had the icing to the cake!
Two guys who get dumped by their girlfriends decide to spend the day at the mall. They meet up with some interesting characters (including Jay ans Silent Bob), which now things start to get crazy, but then the two guys decide they want to win back their girls and thats when things start to get interesting.
The next chapter in to the Kevin Smith universe. The creator of "Bluntman and Chronic" (Banky) sets his romantic eyes on a fellow comic book artist (Amy), but despite all his efforts, he finds out finally that Amy's "Not drving stick".
If your easily offended by the Catholoic Religion, don't see this movie, otherwise its Kevin Smiths take on the religion and two fallen angels, in this "Good vs. Evil" in the middle of NJ the only way Smith can envision it.
If your easily offended then skip, otherwise, this was a great installment into the Clerks universe. Jay and Silent Bob's Comic idea is sold to Hollywood and is destined to become a movie without Jay and Bobs permission. So its up to Jay and Silent Bob to head to Hollywood to stop the production. Lots of cameos and spoofs in this (ala Scooby Doo, etc).
The third and final installment in the Clerks universe. And I must say Smith pushed the ratings to the limits on this one. If your easily offended then skip it, otherwise hang on for a wild ride to catch up with the Clerks universe with Kevin Smith as your driver. And for the record Joel Seagull needs to act his age instead of his shoe size when he goes to a movie to review.
Yes, a 'B' movie, but left a lasting impression on me of possessed cars. This one is driven by the Devil himself, and he terrorizes a small desert town. After seeing this you will forever remeber the Car's horn, and the Car itself.
One of my favorite possessed vehicle movies. Shes a 1957 Plymouth Fury, and she only has one thing on her mind, Arnie Coningham, a young boy who she has simply possessed. If anyone gets in her way, she deals with them. The movie does not follow the book (surprise). So if you get a chance read the book. But never the less it is a good flick.
This is the original story from Nightmares and Dreamscapes which evil has possessed Semis who will not stop at any costs to mow down human life. The bigger budget of the movie is "Maximum Overdrive" which everything mechanical is possessed by an evil force.
A more beefed up version of the short story "Trucks", bu this time all mechanical/electrical things are controlled by an unknown force, and are out to kill all humans. AC/DC provides the entire track (their Back in Black album). This story follows the lone group of people that have met at a truck stop during this madness, and make a fight to battle the machines and get away to a deserted island.
A great American road race to help control the population of humans takes place. And the more you hit, the better you score. Sick thought, but makes an interesting movie. This movie also inspired the Carmageddon video game series.
I prefer this MUCH over the Perl Harbor movie released a few years back. There is NO romantic story yarned into this flick, all facts and the true story of how Japan hit us hard in '41!
No Hollywoodisim here, they stayed pretty much to the WWII era, even filming the landing on the beaches of Normandy with a field camera! Pirvate Ryan is the last son of a family, and mus go home. Its up to Tom hanks and his crew to locate him in Europe and see he gets home alive.
Beatles + Trippy Animation = FUN!, has all the Sgt. Pepper era classics, and of course the Blue Meanies trying to take over Pepperland (which is past the Sea of Green).
The best of the newer Batman movies (the rest sucked after this). Good music by Prince, and a great Darkness like atmosphere (Tim Burton did this baby!) to give us the true origins of The Dark Knight (or Batman). Nobody else could play The Joker as Nicholson did in this movie!
Just WOW! for a Werewolf flick!, Great music, and I enjoyed how the victims came back to haunt the Werewolf as a human during the day. Each time they cam back they were more decomposed as they were the walking dead. The most rememerable scenes is the Nazi Werewolf Gards in the dream sequence, and all the victims gathering in the smut house with the werwolf (human form) and begging him to kill himself and and the curse!
Doesn't live up to its brother (from London), but never the less a decent installment to the series. Good music also flows in this soundtrack as now the Werewolf curse is in Paris, France.
The original, which a man eating plant is cared for by a local plant store attendant. As he bullied around by various people the plant at the same time tells him hes hungry. And the attendant decides to kill two birds with one stone. This is a dark comedy, not as musical as the newer one from 1986.
Remake of the 1960 classic about a man eating plant from space. This time around, more musical numbers an a few well known stars, and a good amount of humor.
Abbott and Costello met all the Universal Monsters in this one. Including a young Vincent Price as the Invisible Man! Hilarity ensures later as they are face to face with Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolfman (who they don't know is their friend by day!).
Very slow the first part of the movie when you get the Romantic story introduced and rolling, but gets MUCH more active in the middle of the movie when the movie opens more to the Titanic and then her final fate. There are disturbing scenes after the Titanic sinks and survivors search for other survivors. Very good date movie.
This is the story of the Titanic without the love story (which never happened). This version has more facts and also. Since this is dated, the Titanic sinks as one rather then breaking into two pieces.
This is more based on a love story, then the ship. So this is the original the 1997 version was loosely based on. If you liked the romantic story line, this ones for you, if you like more of the ship "A Night to Remember" is for you.
Who Ya Gonna Call when your house is haunted... Ghostbusters. The Ghostbusters go up against a God named Zuul, who is destined to plummet earth into darkness.
Just not as good as the first, but did enjoy the Titanic with the ghost passengers coming out from it. This time the guys are up against a haunted painting, and the ghost living in the painting must have a sacrifice to him to become human again and rule the world. And its up to the boys to stop it from happening.
An police officer is murdered during a call, and what is left of him is put into an experimental robotic unit and put back into the police force for a new program by a mega security company (OCP). The issue is the now RoboCop still remembers his previous life and family and is having a nervous breakdown while trying to uphold the law.
Murhpy "RoboCop" is now going up against a drug lord 'Kane' while still trying to deal with his emotions and the new drug on the street that Kane is dealing. Later RoboCop finds himself back in the same place he was when he was human at the other end of the guns of the criminals... will he escape?
Slow in some parts, but a great story on a familys musical roots from the early 1900's through the 1980's (film is dated) using all venues of music from Scott Joplin to Jimi Hendrix to The Sex Pistols. The Woodstock era has some trippy music with Jefferson Airplane's "Don't You Want Somebody To Love".
I remebered looking forward to watching this on TV once a year when it came on for as long as I could remeber (before VHS, DVDs, etc). This is full of magic and music for all ages. Dorthy and her dog run away after a mean old woman wants to take her dog away, a tornado comes along and whisks Dorthy to the land of Oz where she meets a number of characters all with the same problem, the Wicked Witch. Its up to Dorthy, and her newly found friends (Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Lion) to defeat the Wicked Witch and save OZ .
This is set after Dorthy's first trip to Oz. The farm is being rebuilt after the tornado, and her family thinks shes a bit off her rocker. Until one day she finds a key to the Emerald city, and begins seeing visions of people calling out for help. After she is committed to an institution for electric shock, she escapes and by storm she is whisked away to OZ to help her friends once again, this time from the evil witch Mombi.
An interesting silent movie (with theater organ music) based on the OZ books. Mombi and Dorthy as well as the OZ cast are in here battling the wicked Mobi and Evil King.
A modern day Frankenstien, only this time, a woman (LeBrock) is created using their computer (which they also hacked into the national defense to get more ram). After LISA (LeBrock) is created, she teaches and helps the two boys to get a life and become normal. This is dated, but very funny!
Dated, but very interesting to see what Hollywood thought "hacking" was back in the day. A teenager (Broderick) hacks into the goverement to test his ability, and to play a game... But the computer he hacks into wants to play a game to, and it involves Nukes. The computer resiliently calls the boy back, and finally the boy is caught by the government. By the gov. computer still wants to play the game...using real nukes... see it can't tell whats a game and whats real. Again, this is for the person who is really into computers.
This explains it all, where KITT and Michale came from. If you haven't seen the TV series, then check this out. A computer controlled car and a mystery detective fight crime and uphold the law.
Classic story of how a rebuilt car with gadgets takes a father and his kids (and his girlfriend) to a land that is far away. Lots of adventure in this, as well as Benny Hill (as the Toy Maker!).
The "what if" scenario of Titanic (back in the day) was in one piece and with giant balloons could be raised.. Excellent special FX to live out this scenario, even the raised Titanic completes its Journey to NY after its been raised. VERY creepy looking.
The BEST Python movie made IMHO, look at the various stages of Life through the eyes of the Monty Python crew! Look for a naked Patricia (Magenta!) Quinn in the 'Sex Education' segment!
Interesting spoof of the life of a Young Albert Einstein by Yahoo Serious. Excellent music, and very funny moments. Einstien has learned to split the Beer Atom to make Beer foam possible!... its his adversary steals his idea and tries to claim it for himself at the Australian Scientist Fair.
Never released on DVD (wish they would!), this is the tale of two rival gangs during the prohibition period... the gangs have cream puff guns, and peddle carts for cars, and did I mention they are kids!. The music from this movie (Paul Williams) is outstanding and will stay with you as long as you can remeber. And has a very young Scott Baio and Jodi Foster as the lead characters. If you find this on video, grab the kids and popcorn and have a good time with this flick!
Interesting twist, two friends go on vacation to Rio, friend#1's daughter falls in love with friend#2 (Kane), and one thing leads to another. Great music, and may I add lots of topless chicks.
John Carradine stars as a horror Story Writer, who is bitten by Vincent Price (vampire) and in return for the blood, Price invites Carradine into the Monster Club to spin some multiple storiese
A funny movie for golfers and anyone alike. A teenager gets a job as a caddy at the local golf club and ends up being a player in a major tournament that the winner gets the golf club. Great cameos, and Rodney Dangerfield is hilarious getting on Ted Knights nerves!
The Muppets first and best movie! Set in the late 70's it shows how the Muppets came together for The Muppet Show. Lots of cameos from big named stars from that era. Including Orson Wells! And Lots of laughs along the way, the soundtrack was fairly good, I enjoy to this date Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem's "Can You Picture That!".. grab this kids for this one and have fun!
One of the last Muppet movies that was failry good, and stars Tim Curry (from Rocky Horror!!!) as Long John Silver. This is the way only the Muppets can tell the story of Treasure Island. Laughs along the way for young and old.
Disney did a wonerful job taking the comic and transfering it to the silver screen. This is about a hero that arose from everyday people like you and me, after he found a rocket pack that the Nazi's were attempting to steal. He learns how to fight for American justice, and find out one of the leading Hollywood stars is a Nazi Spy and tends to stop him at all costs. If you like Commander Cody or Captain Midnight with the Rocket Pack, this movie is for you!
I have great memories watching these Blondie and Dagwood movies on Sundays. They are taken from the Sunday Comics to the big screen. If you enjoy the old B&W movies and laughs, you like the Blondie Movies

One of the last movies the Stooges made, the Stooges are hired to guard a top secret vehicle (flying submarine) from an Alien race, and leave it up to the Stooges to make anything ROTFLMO out of any situation.
The stooges neighbor (a time machine inventor) perfects his machine, and sends him and the stooges back to the days of the Roman Empire. There they meet up with Hercules (bad at first) and the evil king who enslaves them all. Its up to the Stooges to think of a way to get everyone back home before it is too late.
All star cast in a race to get the millions buried under the big W by Jimmy Durante. Its just gets funnier and funneir as the film goes on. Hollywood attempted to make a 'like' movie based on this called "Rat Race" which just didn't have the magic and the amount of stars this one did. Laughs from beginning to end!
My favorite of the Don Knotts movies, which he yearns to see how fish live. And by a freak accident off the Conney Island pier, he becomes a fish that ends up helping the navy fight the Nazi's in WWII. The movie is shot in two formats, Live Action for humans, and animation for the underwater storyline. This is another great family movie that was destined to be remade with Jim Carrey, but never did happen.
Flash back to the 70's when Kiss was at the top the charts now mix in some Hanna Barbera silliness, and add in some of the bands classic tunes. The movie is dated, but brings back memories..
The "Ghost with the Most" imagine a vice versa Ghostbusters, where the ghosts want to get rid of the humans. Now mix this in with Keatons odd humor and you got one dark comedy hit. Music by Danny Elfman really sets the mood for this movie. A recently deceased couple find out about the "other side" and are trapped in their house they used to live in when they were alive. Now a new family has moved in and redecorated the place in modern art, its up to the couple to try to scare the humans out of their house and also keep Beetlejuice at bay from causing too much chaos.
An excellent tv to screen of the Untouchables series with Eliot Ness. Eliot Ness is out to capture Capone for Tax Evasion, while Capone is out to do in Eliot Ness and his group. Great gangster flick simply put.
One of Prices best B movies, and on top of that creepy and diabolical. He is a famous organist, who wants revenge on the surgeons that he thinks killed his wife. The music is wonderful Ragtime-like, and Paul Frees (the Ghost Host) provides the haunting vocals for the music.
Price reprises his role as Phibes in the quest for the river of life to bring back his wife only now to be pursued by his arch rival. Phibes must use his knowledge of curses to keep his foes... disposed of.
Prices last role before his death as the father of Edward. Edward was given life and scissors for hands to help cut cookies. But his creator passed away leaving Edward alone to face the outside world... a rural 1960s like neighborhood where the neighbors appreciate his scissor talent. Danny Elfman provides an excellent OST for this movie.
A great story of how an evil construction company wants to tear down an apartment building that are still homes to people and a business (cafe) to an elderly couple. Just when the tenets are about to give in, small robots from space come to help out. Good little sentimental flick from the late 80s.
Henson's attempt (very good one) from Comic to Silver Screem. Baby turtles sploshing in toxic goo are saved by a rat who was a friend to a Ninja. Years later the Rat (Splinter) becomes the Turtles Sense and they fight crime and the crime lord Shredder.
Based on the airplane Gremlins, this tells the story of Billy who's father gives him an ancient Chinese pet (Mogwai) that has three rulles, no sunlight, water, and do not feed after midnight. Well one way or another all three rules are broken, and the Mogwai populates and spwans the green scaly creature you see on the box. And then thats when hilarious madness ensures. This movie is not for kids due to graphic ways the Gremlins are decreased (microwave, belnder, etc)..
They are back, Billy is now an executives assistant, and Gizmo (Mogwai) is still living with Billy. But somehow a Gene splitting company gets ahold of Gizmo, and releases the inner Gremlins inside. Now this one has all sorts of Gremlin types, Tony Randall provides the voice for "Brains" (Gremlin who drank a brain enhancing gene). The "New York New York" musical is just too funny to discribe!, and the Bat-Gremlin is great for all your Batman fans! Again not for kids, the Gremlins are destoryed in various ways including now a Shredder of all things.
Based on Alien abductions in the 1970s. A little boy is abducted by aliens, and man (Dreyfuss) keeps seeing visions of a mountain (Devil Tower), and of course the Goverment is denying and covering up the whole mess as normal. That is until (Dreyfuss) finds and goes to Devils Tower to meet the aliens.
They're on a mission from God, to put their band back together to raise money for the orphanage which they were raised in. The Music is outstanding in this, and the mall chase scene is made it into movie history.
This is as 'B' as it can get. But where else you going to get naked girls and zombie Nazi soldiers from WWII. A girl goes skinny dipping in a lake of sleeping zombies, only to wake them up. Then now the small town is infested with them. The zombies are not that scary.
Created during the Beavis and ButtHead decade this is Mike Judges' first and only film of the two. Their TV is stolen and they are out for a cross country venture to get it back. This is some good B&B stuff that wasn't allowed to much on TV back in the day. But still a pretty good movie to check out...huh---ah-huhuh
A great old time ghost story, a couple are murdered (staged car acident), and come back to find their killer and befriend Topper (Roland Young) who can only see them, and together they attempt to find their murderer, but the catch is Topper forgets he can only see the ghosts, and people start to think he is going insane.
Toppers back for a third installment with new ghosts and new mystery to solve, this time Rochester (from Jack Benny) joins the crew. But still only Topper can see the ghosts, but Rochester catches a glimpse of what the ghosts are doing. Topper fades from the silver screen down to the television screen in a weekly series.
Mrs topper is ready to file for a divorce from Cosmo, due to the strange circumstances of his trip with ghost Marion. This time Marion returns from heaven with the dog to help Topper out of yet another mess.
Like care chases? Like 18 wheelers? This movies for you. Bandit (Reynods) and the Snow man (Lee) have a job to do to make some serious cash. Thats to transport beer from TX back to Little Enos and Big Eno's party. There is only one thing stopping them... Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason). And after they all meet its just laughs a minute and one wild car and truck chase of all time!
The're all back, this time transporting an elephant from Florida to Texas. And Bufford is on their tail in hot pursuit once again. Dom DeLuise now joins the fun as the Elephants Doctor.
Bufford is now contracted by Big and Little enos to promote a seafood chain, and must mount and keep a stuffed hark to their roof during the entire journey. The Snowman now portraits the Bandit in a reverse role to chase the Sherriff and get the shark and make it to the finish line. If Bufford looses, he must give up his badge and retire.... And he does finally catch the Bandit at the end... but with surprising results..
This is the original, and by far beats the re-make. This involves children who win a golden ticket to visit a mysterious man by the name of Wonka and his magical candy factory.
This was a B movie, but interesting, a everyday police officer gets super powers after being exposed to a nuclear blast. He can catch bullets with his teeth, walk on water, and also has a very catchy movie theme. Ernest Borgnine (McHale's Navy) stars as his side kick... think of it as Car 54 Where Are You meets Superman.
If your in the IT field, then I need not say anymore. If not, then check out this gem from Disney when they experimented with early CGI mixed with live film. Its a story of a man (Flynn) who gets sucked into the Cyberworld by an evil CPU. And to get out he must foil the CPU and break its access over the Cyberworld, he has the help of Tron, a program that was created by a user to hellp him accomplish this goal.
At the same time Disney was doing their CGI thing, this gem came along. This plot takes a average video game playing teenager, who ends up becoming a master at the Starfighter Video game which turns out to be a training system for an alien race. He then is recruited by the Alien race to help them defend the galaxy and defeat the bad guys. Dated CGI but a very great movie.
This is a story about the only B17 team to fly all 23 missions during WWII and come home safely. The effects are dated, but gives you a sense of being in the bomber and what they went through to defend our country against the Axis.
We all know this story, this is the next best story after you see Its a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street at Christmas. Ralphie is a boy who wants a Red Rider BB Gun for Christmas, but everyone tells him he'll shoot his eye out. Along his quest to get Santa to deliver the goods, we get a glimps of his family's way of spending the Christmas season together in the 1940's.
Dubbed as bad, it is still an interesting movie about a group of men that try to keep a hidden scecret of a girls death for over 40 years. The only problem is the dead girl has now come back to kill them and anyone who gets in her way.
A very good ghost story that shows how a mass murderer comes back to kill all those off who witnesses his execution. Meanwhile Michale J. Fox can see the dead, and scams folks by busting ghosts that are Fox's buddies, until Fox and his Ghost Buddies run up against the killer ghost. This offeres good special ghost effects, as well as the Drill Sgt from Full Metal Jacket makes his cameo as a ghost of the Drill Sgt in the graveyard.
Vincent Price as 'Dr. Goldfoot' creates his army of FemBots in this movie long before Dr. Evil did. And mix in the zany antics of the Frankie Vallie 'Beach Blanket' universe and you got one trippy comedy.
Take well known stars of the late 70's and make a movie about the biggest bus ever made, and combine with a maiden road trip that leads to all sorts of problems along the way.
A race across America any which way and as fast as you can. Classic 80's movie of mindless racing and cameos of big stars at the time including a young Jackie Chan.
Not a bad comeback for Pixar after the Incredibles. This teaches the children about responsibility and how to accomplish goals through the use of a car universe. If you remeber Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch, that sums up the likeness of the Cars characters.
A great transformation of Rock Opera to the silver screen. A few major music stars star as the players, such as Tina Tuner as the Acid Queen (memorible performance), while Eric Clapton stars as the minister to hopefully restore Tommy to normal... and of course Jack Nicholson, who is the Doctor assigned to cure Tommy.
The only movie to feature almost feature all original cast members except Pat Priest. Herman inherits the Munster family estate in England, and must travel there to accept it. At the same time, the other Munster family members want to scare their cousin Herman out of the estate for their own. The Dragula makes its comeback in this as Hermans' race car to win the prize and the Munster estate. Look for a young Richard Dawson in the English pub when Lilly asks for directions.
One of those 80s movies that fell through. This one is about a son whos father was a tank engineer during the war, and who also gets framed by the local law enforcement for possession of drugs. The hearing for the sons drug charges is in the next county, the only problem is the sheriff will stop at nothing to prevent the father and son from getting there... that is until the father brings in his privately owned Sherman Tank to get them there.
What more can I say, Pirates, Burried Treasure, and kids who are about to loose their homes find the map to it... oh did I mention the crminals who want the treasure as well...a rollercoaster ride of a movie for adventurers!
The mama of spoofs on Gangster movies. There is a joke it seems every minute of the movie, and a good handful of well known stars. Johnny is a gangster, his brother turns out to be a DA out for Johnny... the hilarity ensures when Johnny tries to hide his gangster side from his brother.
One of those great little films from the 60s with laughs and music. Tony Randell is a marine biologist who decides to move his family into their new house... underwater. At the same time, his kids are trying to cut a demo tape to make it big in the music business.
Odd version of Flash Gordon, but it makes up in the soundtrack which was entirely performed by Queen. Flash must save the Earth after Ming decides to destroy the Earth.
If you like spoofs and James Bond, and campy 60s style, this IS the movie for you! I much prefer this then the remake any day!. James Bond is forced out of retirement to foil the new organization SMESH (lead by Woody Allen). Along the way, its decided to give the aging Bond a new replacement or two, or a few hundred as you will see in the final fight scene.
As the movie progresses it just more sillier by the minute, to the point you have the Keystone Cops, and Parachuting Indians landing to fight at Casino Royal!
Welcome to Fright Night... a new neighbor moves in next door, but all the women who enter never leave the house. Being suspicious the teenager starts poking around only to find out that his neighbor is a vampire. So he does the next best thing, he befriends the local Horror TV Host (McDowell) who introduces horror movies as a Vampire Slayer.
A great film by Terry Gillian who looks into Time Travel without a machine. A virus has broken out in the future and a lone person (willis) is sent back in time to stop the virus outbreak. Lots of back and forth traveling in this, along the way Willis is put into a mental institution after the folks in the past think he's crazy stating he came from the future, this is when he mets up with Brad Pit, and the hilarity begins.
Sean Conery stars in this odd SciFi movie that has the world divided into barbarians and the elite who know not of death. Sean somehow finds his way into "The Garden Of Eden" and learns about the Elite who in return want to know how to die. See in the "Garden" death has been banished, and people just continue to grow old and never die...never.
An island with different themed parts, sort like Disney's Epcot, but all the characters are robots who interact in every way with the humans. That is until some unkown person or force decides to turn the robots on the humans. Erie atmosphere and Yul Brynner makes a haunting Cowboy Robot with a revenge for a human that shot him.
The graveyards are all being emptied out town after town, and its up to our heroes to find out about The Tall Man, and why he is doing this. If you like death, hearses, and morbid, then this is for you...
The Tall Man is back again with his balls... of silver, emptying out more graveyards, and making more of the mutants from the corpses he has gathered. Our heroes are also back to make an attempt to finally stop The Tall Man.
Ghosts, a Haunted House, and Don Knotts. What a comedy mixture. Don is reponsible for finding out the mystery of the ghost and the haunted house. The memorible scene for me is when they open the coffin and find a larg Univac like computer... who has the answers! But the outlet to plug it in is on the other side of the graveyard, hmm what will Don use to plug that computer in?.. The music is also very haunting as most of it is performed on an organ that you would hear in the old skating rinks of decades gone by.
Saliors aboard a destroyer back in WWII are used as a time traveling experiment and as the experiment goes wrong, two sailors jump ship to escape. When they do they are hurled to the 1980's and are forced to find out what happened to their shipmates. During their 80's stay, they are pursued by a back cloud which is the time portal they escaped. Good plot, and a bit of time flip flop but to to confusing. Good movie.
18 Wheelers, Meat Loaf and Patrick Swayze are the stars in this flick when Meat Loaf is a corrupt trucking company trying to stop Partick from starting his own company. The Black Dog is what truckers see when they become to tired to drive while driving, it makes them swerve off the road.
A detective (Chase) is shot to death while investigating a crime scene. After arriving in heaven he is reassigned to come back to as the next person or animal to die (which happens to be a dog). Back on earth as a dog, it is up to him to find out who his killer was and who also shot the victim he was investigating when he was shot. 10cc's provides most of the synth soundtrack which is surprisingly good!
Wilder is a man who becomes obsessed with the Woman in Red (LeBrock). Its putting a strain on his married life. Meanwhile his wife finds out about this obsession and is out to teach her hubby a lesson. But finally Wilder gets the Woman in Red, and things do not turn out the way he planned. Very funny movie, and you get to see more of Kelly LeBrock then you expect in the bedroom scene ;)
Finally another '.vs' movie, the pair are back from Hell, after Freddy uses Jason to break out of Hell. Jason becomes wise to Freddy and then the two slug it out while enjoying some slashing humans in between.
Love to find this on DVD or VHS, a young teen and his family move into a haunted house on the coast. The house is occupied by three ghosts, a young lady, an old hag and a captain, and all three ghosts are well horny after being dead for years. During their stay the teenager is blamed for all the destruction that the ghosts are causing its up to the teeanager to find out how to stop the ghosts before his families vacation is finished at the hands of the murdering ghosts.
Second favorite Lewis flick hes working at a departments store now and tending to all departments, the favorite one is Lewis trying to sell a vacuum cleaner and vacuums everything up in the department into a huge hot air balloon like vacuum bag!
This was a good flick, used lots of older music sung by the cast (aka Boogie Wonderland). To tell the story of a penguins life and how he attempts to fix what humans have done to endanger penguins (using sophisticated equipment to harvest fish without giving them time to reproduce).
This is Dreamworks answer to Disney's "The Wild" both have animals that attempt to escape the zoos they are in. This one the animals are sent to back into the wild due from an animal rights group that thinks thats where they belong. This of course is after the animals escaped during the night and ended up on a Subway and downtown New York. Now they are in the wild, and no humans to take care of them, they must learn to adapt. Not too bad of a family film.
Just wow... the story of Tarzan king of apes, and how he became to be. Music by Phil Collins sets the mood for this movie. A great film to watch with the family...just to take note, there is death in the first 15 minutes (ape cub, and tarzans parents are found dead with blood all over the floor, you just see their feet).
Robin Williams as a Genie... where can you go wrong with that...no place. Based on Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, Aladdin is an every day guy who comes across a vast amount of riches including the Lamp, while trying to win the heart of the princess. Meanwhile Jaffar is an evil wizard who is also the Kings advisor, and he wants to take over the kingdom at all costs. Its up to Aladdin, Babu and Genie to defeat Jaffar and save the kingdom from evil.
A mastepiece of story telling and the animation and scenery are amazing! The story of how a fathers love stays with his child to help his child take his role in life as The Lion King!
This is the Lion Kings events from Timon and Pumbaa's point of view, such as when the animals bowed to the new King, it was actually Pumbaa's gas problem. A good POV used, and some moments are side splitting funny!
Why they made a Live Action out of this classic is beyond me... The tale of love how a man and his dog meat the women of their dreams, and before you know it, puppies, puppies, puppies!.... now the evil Corella DeVille who is into fashion at her baggy age, wans to make a coat out of the puppies and will stop at nothing to have it... that is until the 101 dalmatians fight back and take a ...bite out of Corella and her henchmen.
This movie shows that love comes in all forms and you must look through the exterior of the person (in this case K9) to find it. Great music, and very well written plot. A great family movie!
This in a way is the Feline version of Lady and the Tramp, but with a criminal twist with the Butler involved. Another classic Disney movie for the family to enjoy.
Theres a new toy in town (Buzz) that is to replace (Woody) for Andy's best toy. A friction of a relationship as the two toys work out their problems with each other to learn to live together.
Not as good as the original, the Toys now face the loss of Woody who was put in a yard sale and bought up by a collector. It is up to the toys to risk their limbs (plastic, cotton, etc) to rescue their pal Woody from the evil collector.
Classic Richard Pryor movie in which he is hired for a week to be a 'toy' for a millionaires visiting son, but the son finds out there is something better then a human toy... his fathers love, which the millionaire has failed to realize.
SNL meets the Army in this movie that stars Bill Murry. They go through boot camp, and then finally to recover a top secret vehicle from the USSR (dated, cold war).
A Christmas Classic, as Laurel and Hardy work as toy makers in a fairytale land. And as you expected they mix up the order that Santa has put in for wooden soilders. Meanwhile a mean old tax collector plots to take over fairytale land with the help of the Boogie Men... yeah strange, but very hilarious! The main theme is very hard not to forget, as it is part of Babes in Toyland's "The March of the Wooden Soldiers"
British humor mixed with Zombies, just a FUNNY zombie flick. Well written and the effects are good. Shaun is an average guy who has been left by his girlfriend, and one day he wakes up to find the dead are coming back to life. With his roommate Ed, they try to learn the best ways to fend off the Living dead... first method, Record Albums, which is one of the many hilarious moments.
A plague has stuck Britain turning people into Crazies (better yet Zombies!), and the entire country is overwhelmed. A group of survivors attempts to survive at all costs during this plague.
You like Zombies.... like Hell Dogs, and like Industrial Metal music... wait no more... this is loosely based on the popular video game but sports a whole lot more!
Gibson is an advertiser who mysteriously inherits the way to read the minds of females. Hunt is a co worker who took his position that he was working for, now he uses his powers to read her mind, and steal her ideas, only to fall head over heels for her. (Great date movie!)
Tim Burton's take on Aliens take over Earth movies, headed with an All Star cast. The Martians are hilarious and you will not forget their language and its sound after this movie.
Spidy is up against the Green Goblin in his debut movie since the live action TV series and appearing on the CTW's Electric Company. This is the origins of Spiderman.
Back again web slingers, Spidey is now against Dr. Octopuses (Doc Oct), and must save the city from destruction while trying to stay romantically involved with MJ.
Rankin Bass make their Silver Screen debut (back in 1967) with this little forgotten gem, which Dr. Frankenstein is holding a Halloween party and all the monsters are Invited! This is done through the use of Clamation as the Rankin Bass company are known for during the Holidays.
VERY good kid/adult movie, which is based on the Chicken Little story. This time, there are aliens involved. There are great moments that will have you rolling laughing.
Saw this in Imax 3D, and even without the 3D, the plot and music were fantastic. A little boy who stops believing in Santa hops aboard the Polar Express destination...the North Pole to meet with Santa. The CGI is superb in this and Tom Hanks performs almost all the parts. Grab the kids and take a break with this movie...
The Griswold stay home this time around to celebrate Christmas. And this time the realities come to stay with the Griswolds. If your wondering what the song is playing during the attic scene, it is "The Spirit of Christmas" by Ray Charles.
A classic film of a man who wants to spend a vacation across America to go to Wallyworld (Amusement park based on Disney), along the way they learn to cope with all sorts of incidents, including the death of an Aunt... who they don't realize is dead until the next day in the car!
Designed to be an updated/comedic version of a Christmas Carol, Bill Murray is hilarious as Scrooge, a big time network producer aiming to broadcast a LIVE and modernized version of thse novel, completely down to the Solid Gold dancers sing Christmas Carols. That is until the Christmas Spirits get wind of it, and show him the true meaning of Christmas.
Very creepy version of this story with Mr. Magoo. The Ghost of Christmas future scared me when I was a kid. This toon is done as a play in the world of Mr. Magoo. And follows the story of a Christmas Carol.
This reminds me of the Who's Tommy (movie version) which you had big name stars singing the tunes. This time around The Bee Gees become the Sgt Pepper Band, to rescue a small town called 'Heartland' from the evil Mr. Mustard and his evil Computer. (Its great to see the nostalgia from the 70s and how Hollywood saw computers back then). All the hits are performed, including a great version of 'Because' by Alice Cooper, and Mr. Kite sung by George Burns.
So far the best Alien vs. World movie yet with an All Star cast including Will Smith! Aliens come to earth to destroy it (on all days July 4th). Its up to Will Smith and fellow stars to save the earth.
Survival of the fittest... A cruise ship capsizes due to a tital wave on New Years Eve, a small group of passengers must make their way to the bottom (now the top) of the ship hoping to be rescued. This was re-made recently with the story line changed (as with most remakes..ugh!).
