Initially I was so afraid it would be very similar to LOTR, but not so good, but when I had seen it, I absolutely loved this movie! Now I've seen it more than once. And Take That's Rule The World at end credits is one of the best songs of the year.
I've watched this film more times than any other films in my life. It's a life-long love story, told so beautifully, delicately, slowly... The scenery in the Canadian mountains is breath-taking and Heath and Jake are both superb in their roles.
I remember that when I first saw this movie I cried most of the time and when I watched it for the second time, the same happened. I think it's a beautiful movie, a bit naive, but this doesn't make it less beautiful. Plus there's young Hayden Christensen, one of my favourite Canadians :)
When I went to see this movie, I hadn't read the book. After seeing it, however, I started to read LOTR and this really changed my views on fantasy. The best fantasy film ever, no doubt about it. Great actors as well, the funny thing being that this is the only film in which I really like Orlando Bloom, otherwise I'm not a huge fan of his. And another thing - in my opinion Viggo's Aragorn is such a powerfully positive hero that in my mind's eye Viggo should have played Sirius Black in HP, my favourite character there. I was SO disappointed when he didn't, lol.
It was long, big in every sense, patriotic and contained a lot of cliches, but who cares when you have Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and the magnificent Australian landscape? Did I mention Hugh Jackman? And Nullah was so cute :) Not to mention Faramir, sry, David Wenham/Neil Fletcher.
My favourite romantic comedy, I really like Julia Stiles there and of course, Heath Ledger.
I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car, I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick, it even makes me rhyme. I hate the way you?re always right, I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you, not even close? not even a little bit? not even at all.
It was DARK, the special effects were AWESOME and HL was BRILLIANT! The way he stuck out his tongue... and many of his lines... Speaking of which, do you know how I got these scars? Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You just couldn't let me go could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. It's simple, we, uh, kill the Batman. Wanna know how I got these scars? Indeed, Why So Serious?
Wow, I have never seen a film as cute as this. It was highly predictable, but it had the most amazing music and great actors. I've been listening to the soundtrack ever since I watched the movie and it gets better and better!
I'm actually too overwhelmed to write anything about it that would make any sense at all. A real tearjerker. One thing though, Shane West reminds me of Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
I didn't know anything about the film before I started to watch it, but it turned out to be an excellent one! It was predictable from a certain point onwards, but who cares!
Who would have thought that I like a film with Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan singing? But I did! It was one of the happiest and sunniest and most carefree movies I have ever seen :) At times it was a bit too crazy to be true, but who cares! And the music was naturally superb.
I remember watching it for the first time years ago and crying about the character of Brad Pitt being killed although it was never even actually shown how he died. I re-watched it years later and it was still bad and still one of my favourite Brad Pitt's movies.
I remember being in awe when I first read about the cast. The film was as witty and good as I had expected, though I remember being a bit puzzled after watching it, trying to realise how they had done it all.
