I'm not totally sure the order's right, but this is pretty much my top 12. *NB. when I say 'Evil Dead', 'Spider-Man', and 'LOTR', I include the sequels. When I say 'The Land Before Time', I do NOT.

At last, a really inventive animated movie, one that breaks down the usual parameters of 'obvious good guys', 'obvious bad guys', 'obvious moral message'. A story of strange creatures, stranger events, and self-discovery, all with breathtakingly beautiful artwork. This is the reason cinema exists. |

I love this movie! I grew up with it, lost it about 10 years ago, & rediscovered it earlier this year. I still cry when Littlefoot sees his shadow on the rocks, & I still cry at the end. Cartoons don't come much better than this. |
