The Producers 2005, PG-13)
I've always found Matthew Broderick to be painfully boring and uninteresting in his roles but, I LOVED him in this. The part of Leo Bloom was made for him and he did it so well. I also loved Will Ferrell in this who completely pulled off a part I would have never evisioned him in. Nathan Lane could make tying his shoe a landmark performance and Uma Thurman was just kind of...there for me. There's just something about her character I couldn't connect with. Over all, I loved every second of this movie. It restored my faith in musicals after seeing that abomination that they call "Rent" |
