It's a 'history film' without being dull, and a 'religious film' without being preachy. But perhaps most of all, it's a movie that will convince any viewer that he or she can also make a difference in a sin-sick world desperately in need of social justice, mercy and compassion.
This movie takes us across the ocean to another place, but more importantly it asks them to step outside of themselves for a few moments and consider the value of lives they rarely consider valuable. Or at best, rarely think about at all.
18 short stories in one movie and it's everything about love in different depictions. My favourites are Bastille, Parc Monceau, Pere-Lachaise, Faubourg Saint-Denis and 14 Arrondissement!
This shows us that history hasn't taught us how to overcome the separation and encourages us to remember that all of us share the same spiritual spine. Definitely this movie should win Oscar's Best Movie!
This movie recognizes and portrays the incredible camaraderie that exists among combat troops. These men were willing to sacrifice their lives, not for some idealistic cause or humanitarian effort but simply for each other.
Beautiful animation, emotionally appealing characters and a strong emphasis on the importance of responsible stewardship of creation and it inspires us to reexamine the corrosive effects of consumer culture.
