I can't think of a more ambitious movie... 4 super hero movies (Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America) that all hint at, intertwine and lead into one epic summer blockbuster.

The fact that each of the movies were interesting and entertaining in their own right was a massive feat.

As for this film, Joss Whedon was most definitely the best pick to write and direct. He has an amazing knack for comedic timing and genuinely funny one-liner dialogue - but also for natural camerawork in his action scenes. I think that I was smiling for the whole movie (partially because I still couldn't believe that I was finally seeing it and also because it was melting my face with awesomeness).

If you are even a little bit of an action movie fan, go see this one. Now.

The concept of this movie is pure brilliance - hats off to Whedon and Goddard for that.

Now, as a pure play horror flick, I'd say that it didn't quite live upto my expectations. I guess it just turned out to be more of a Sci-Fi movie, when I was hoping for a few more scare tactics.

Still, the originality of the concept makes this a must watch film for any fan of either genre.
