unbelievable, it has been years since i last saw something from the series and just like that it all came back to me. was a fan, am a fan & always will be a fan. the movie completely exceeded all my expectations, great cast, real star trek plot and, my god, the visuals! just one thing kept bugging and that's the absence of "beam me up, scotty!". guess they hadn't come up that just yet. to sum it up, perfect star trek film. jj, you're a god! i can't think of anything bad to say, pure entertainment
brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. everything i hoped it would be an even more. finally something interesting and intellectual in "superhero" genre even if this might not fall into that category because of that. ratings might come down a bit once the initial excitement has settled but nonetheless best movie i've seen in ages. and btw, amazing soundtrack except for the mcr's bob dylan cover, how on earth did that make it's way over credits...
at first, the words horror and musical were at odds in my mind put have to admit that it worked out brilliantly. johnny does one of his best performances in this one.
well, what can i say, it put a smile on my face. but seriously, without heath's joker this would have been a slight disappointment since the plot wasn't that great and even though the rest of the cast made solid performances they just weren't that spectacular... not to disgrace any of the actors who truly are great actors but the story just wasn't as good as it could/should have been. and last but not least, why on earth batman has to sound so ridiculous? but as it stands, dark knight is truly a magnificent film and definitely a-must-see.
i don't usually like these huge summer blockbusters but this one had it all: decent story, good cast and tons of visual effects so what's there not to love.
