Another look at Some Like It Hot and Victor/Victoria. I'd gotten to the point of turning this off when something akin to the Stockholm Syndrome possessed me. My captor turned out to be a feel-good movie with an everyone loves everyone ending. Plenty of show tunes and good drag queen make-up. Don't try this one if you're feeling snobby. Caricature people and situations. I could watch this again.

This kept me in my chair. I couldn't leave it or look away. It's hypnotic and surprising.

Let the Right One In R

Superior vampire film. The friend/lover is a vampire idea has been done before, but not like this. I wanted it to go on and on. If you don't see this...you're missing something special. I suggest watching a copy with "theatrical subtitles", not the standard ones (big difference), and listen in the original Swedish. This film is thought-provoking and smart.
