my favorite...thing. it's not a movie, it's not a comic, it's not a book. it's not a music cd. it's all thoose things and more. it's quite hard to describe other than it's a whole new genre of...'thing'. and it's brilliant. this has the most touching, non-religious yet spiritualy meaningful story in any format without being new age or preachy. it has the most fleshed out characters i've ever seen and the music will move you to tears. simply put, you all MUST WATCH THIS. it's going into mass DVD production in late july, but you can always watch the original 12 hour opus at www.brokensaints.com What would you give to know the Truth?

Hotaru no haka (Grave of the Fireflies) Unrated

easily the greatest animation ever produced by any country at any time. the greatest anti-war movie ever made (animated or otherwise) and so touching, tragic, and ultimatly heartbreaking that it could make a stone weeps bloody tears. the tragity increases when you learn how accurate this was at depitcting the average japanese childs experience with WWII, and you realize that this story probably happend over and over again accross the country of japan. bottom line: you WILL cry if you watch this, and you MUST watch this if you truly love animation or cinema in general.
