Independently made zombie tale with a tragi-romance theme about a newly married couple who's short-lived honeymoon is turned into a nightmare when the husband is turned into a flesheater after being attacked at the beach. It's not a film that's been made to show off some gore or ... read more

SO bad. Despite the amazing pretense of a zombie honeymoon, poor quality film, acting, script, etc make this a bust.

Ok now I had heard so many great things about this film, I am on bloody-disgusting.com everyday finding out about new horror films and reading reviews and this was recommended so I saw it in the video store and decided to rent it. I will admit the premise of the film is quite ori... read more

'Zombie Honeymoon' Deathly Dull
The post-sound recording for Zombie Honeymoon was so bad that I thought they'd overdubbed an Australian film with American voices, and it turns out the whole thing was shot in New Jersey. Having your newlywed turn into the walking dead would make... read more -

Supposed to be a comedy. I found this actually really sad. It's some lady dealing with he fact that her new husband is now a zombie. It's different and a interesting supplement to all those zombie flicks.

This concept of 'stand by your man regardless if he eats people in front of you', was just a weird idea. Decent acting from the leads, but I wouldn't say it's worth a second viewing.

If you're looking for a zombie movie, pass this one by.
I cannot imagine a scenario where I would have enjoyed this movie.
Critic Reviews
Whether you're looking for a love story with a little gore or a horror movie with a little romance, Zombie Honeymoon will suit your taste.
Not quite the campfest its absurd but undeniably catchy title suggests, Zombie Honeymoon is actually an emotionally driven blend of romance, comedy and horror.
If you're not up to your hairline with the post-Romero zombie mythology already, you might be able to find room in your heart for Dave Gebroe's indecorously titled Zombie Honeymoon -- it's all about l... Full Review
Very good performances, heart wrenching story, and genuine characterization... Full Review
It comes to life a bit during a protracted, gotta-get-to-80-minutes finale, but by then it's called to mind too many other, better films. Full Review
Not that Zombie Honeymoon is a bad movie, just one you probably won't think too much about after the credits roll. Full Review
Gebroe's romantic comedy satire is pitch-perfect, but as his movie grows darker in its final act, it's also surprisingly moving.
True love flourishes even after one of the newlyweds is newly dead. Full Review
