    The tale continues but the battles are far greater in this instalment. Zatoichi even tries his hand at Sumo wrestling which was quite good fun. For me though, the very last scene makes this film. As Zatoichi walks into the distance he tries to do so in a light-hearted and uplifti... read moreng way even though inside his heart is broken, the smile to frown and fadeout is just as heartbreaking for the audience. My favourite so far!

    Zatoichi once again incurs the wrath of many after winning a sumo wrestling contest. After an assassin is killed by Zatoichi, he goes to the dead mans house to pay his respects to the mother. The mother is understanding and holds Zatoichi in high regard. Zatoichi the Fugitive beg... read moreins to highlight Zatoichi's weaknesses. He's his usual happy-go-lucky self at the beginning, but when his old flame Tane is put in harms way, we see Zatoichi make his first true mistake of the series as emotion overcomes his commonsense. The final battle is bigger and better than anything so far, and Zatoichi's foe is a real threat to the seemingly invincible masseur. It's a darker film and one that has a lot of interesting characters on board to help drive the plot forward.

    although not as good as other zatoichi movies, this is a solid zatoichi tale. the story is a bit incoherent in the begining, but the story picks up well and the fight scene at the end is classic. zatoichi goes all cyrano debergerac on a group of samurai, and we see his first tr... read moreue moments of vulnerability. good flick.

    The Zatoichi Films / Series. the Best in B&W in Japan in the 1960 era, want to get caught up then watch one of these and you will not stop till you have the complete collection, better then any Kung Fu Ole School thats out there. Bruce Lee has nothing on Zatoichi

    this part 3 ichi story his legend grew more and more . this story years has past and he meet tane again. would love join togeter. ichi is more like monk than swords man he preffer hinding swords kills or being masseur to make his living pg 13 watch more of blind monk ichi
