While Carl and Molly are happy with their new digs, Carl's best friend, Randy Dupree (Owen Wilson), is not content with his living arrangements. Dupree has all but made a career out of avoiding work, responsibility, and commitment, and while his charm usually manages to keep him afloat, when he loses his job, his apartment, and his car. Carl can't bear to see Dupree in such dire circumstances, and tells Dupree he can stay on their couch until he can get things straightened out. But while Carl was expecting Dupree to stay for a few days, it soon becomes obvious to both him and Molly that their guest has no intention of moving out anytime soon, and while the likable freeloader starts working his charm on Molly, their neighbors, and their friends, Carl soon finds himself at the end of his rope with his best man and childhood buddy. You, Me and Dupree also stars Amanda Detmer, Seth Rogen, and Michael Douglas as Molly's father. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

You, Me and Dupree AI felt was a mediocre film with a few laughs, but in the end really didn't stand out. The film is funny, but I felt that something was missing to really make it special. I felt that the film could have been much better than it turned out to be. The films conte... read morent was cliché and you could see it was struggling with its material in trying to create something good. However, the end result is a mediocre film with a few laughs. The cast aren't that great, but they do what they can to make this film work. Unfortunately, the result is a mediocre comedy. I feel that the film could have been much better than this, and it had a pretty good idea ruined by a poor script, and a mediocre cast. This film has a few laughs, but is never anything great. Like I said, the film could have turned out better. This is a forgettable comedy, one that doesn't stand out and isn't really worth watching again and again. There is something missing in this film to really make it stand out, and it doesn't do that. You, Me and Dupree is not worth your time, and there are better comedies out there for you to watch. If you want a mildly amusing film, then this is the film to watch. However the film doesn't stand out, and you're better off watching something else. This film is a prime example of a film that could have been good, but instead became a pointless, tiring film in the process. Comical, but it doesn't stand out. A mediocre cast and poor script rounds out this film, and makes this film a film not really worth seeing.

I debated if this movie was even worth rating, not really. Seth Rogen's brief cameo, as I refer to it as, is the only laugh during the whole two hours

A funny and interesting movie, but it really had nottory or point to it.

Not as horrible as I expected but then Owen Wilson seems to make bad films watchable.

It had potential, but ended up in a massive mud puddle at the end!

This is the king of comedies. Owen Wilson is the most priceless character ever. Randolph Dupree is a god among men. Everything from the plot to the characters is extremely well done. The story is just so original and refreshing, playing with situations that a lot of people can re... read morelate to.

A sort of mix of a few ideas from a few more successful rom-coms I felt. Has a few funny moments and a strong cast who are from some good comedies. Worth a watch but not a patch on the likes of Meet the parents.

I actually liked this movie a good bit....much better than the overrated Wedding Crashers

You, Me and Dupree overstays its welcome but a compilation reel of Wilson's scenes would make for fairly funny viewing. Full Review

Owen Wilson is perilously close to doing a Dupree on his own career, by wearing out his welcome. Full Review

You, Me and Dupree seems to have been made by people who don't know the difference between a light comedy and an inconsequential one. Full Review

Gifted though [the directors] may be in smaller doses, they're a long way from mastering the art of feature-length comedy. Full Review

Wilson deserves better, too. He's too smart to make me believe he'd actually think this movie is funny. Full Review

Watching [Wilson] mug wildly in another uneven film short on plot, the audience may start to wish he would go away for awhile and stop turning up in such repetitive comedies. Full Review

Think of the uncompromisingly mediocre comedy You, Me and Dupree as a referendum on whether audiences are tiring of Owen Wilson's beatific stoner dude character as rapidly as I am.

Wilson, Dillon and Hudson are likable stars, and there are moments when their characters make a convincing circle of friends. But the Russo brothers don't have the maturity to blend the two prongs of ... Full Review
