The next time with the help of the new teacher(Harriet Lehabe), she arrives in time to be seen by the doctor(Camilla Walker) who sends out Yesterday's blood to be tested. The result: HIV Positive.[/font]

    [font=Century Gothic]"Yesterday" is a simple tale that is exquisitely told. It deftly avoids being just a public service announcement, even though there is still a lesson to be imparted. The movie is not only about AIDS, which is ravaging Africa but also about the lack of education and healthcare in general. Overall, the movie is symbolic of a country that is moving on from Apartheid.[/font]

    Yesterday was such a good movie because of it simplicity and beauty.It was about Yesterday a South African woman who was infected by her husband with the HIV virus and her struggle to survive. The movie showed the relationship between Yesterday,her daughter Beauty and the teacher... read more. The HIV virus was portrayed with realism and also Yesterday's strength and dignity to face her illness. She took care of her husband till his death, dealing with her illness and gossips and fears of other villagers. It was heartbreaking and it made me feel her pain and sorrow. Acting, directing, all was excellent.

    SDad movie. Very moving , showing the affect of Aids on a whole family. I lvoed this movie the setting was beautiful and so was the story.

    What an incredible story, a beautiful and exquisitely made film. The direction is outstanding, the performances are so real and moving, especially Leletyi Khumalo. Beautifully simple cinematography. Unforgettable and so very poignant. Excellent in all ways.

    A moving film about a woman who finds out she has gotten AIDS from her husband who works away from the village in the city. Her goal is to live to see her kids go to s hool and fidn a decent home for when she is gone.

    About an African woman and her little girl. Her husband has given her Aids....very sad and makes your stomach a lil sick to watch :( Definetly a good film though...
