Asami, Rena Komine, Kenji Motomiya

Asami returns exausted after three years of intense training to become a yakuza hunter. She decides to visit her old master, Inokuma (Sakichi Sato), who runs a bar. As it turns out, the local yakuza had turned it into a gambling house and laid claim to the entire area with the help of a cold-blooded killer named Akira (Hitomi Miwa). Akira is relentless, and utilizes cruel tactics when anyone dares get in her way. Inokuma decides to hide Asami with the very first yakuza hunter, Miki (Yumi Yoshiyuki). However, in her dogged pursuit of the remaining yakuza hunters, Akira brutally murders Miki's family and burns down Inokuma's bar. Eventually, Asami's rage finally reaches its peak.

    Kazushi Nakadaira's Yakuza-Busting Girls: Final Death-Ride Battle is as deranged as it sounds.

    For a low budget overblown gory movie, there is some pretty good emphasis on the story. That isn't to say that it is first-class, because it isn't, but the effort is there. S

    ... read moreome scenes are also overly drawn out and that contributes to a run time just under an hour and a half, when this easily could be much shorter.

    The violence is over the top, exaggerated, and all over the place. The action isn't out of this world, but there are some good segments from time to time, especially in the final act.

    There isn't much to the acting and this is unsurprising. The characters are eccentric and many are overacted. Asami has the persona and body for a yakuza hunter, so she is acceptable as the lead character. Rena Komine is sinister enough to be an antagonist to pit against Asami. The rest of the cast is forgettable or annoying.

    Despite the wacky nature, Yakuza-Busting Girls: Final Death-Ride Battle isn't all it's cracked up to be. "Let's play the finger cutting game."
