When the bank takes umbrage to Max's manslaughter conviction and refuses to approve his loan application, the desperate recidivist soon joins forces with a pair of shady associates to carry out what promises to be a lucrative kidnapping. Upon abducting the eight-year-old son of the richest woman in the state, Max, Roxanne, and their criminal collaborators travel to a secluded and abandoned summer camp to await further instruction. My previous comment: (Rated not interested)
It is a Horror enough to watch Movies children are kidnapped in the Movies. I dont want to know what would happen the next.

    After watching it.
I was pretty much surprised how nice this Movie was made not a block buster but it wont bore... read more you either. It has a Omen touch but at the other hand the plot was very different. It was creepy for sure but not Creepy, you shake, it was creepy you wont be bored thing. I would recommend it.

t's all a bit lame really compared to the Omen films

Not too bad considering it appears to be a low budget rip off of The Omen. I gave it an extra star for the scary-ass kid.

I chose this little known film for two reasons. First, for a B-Movie, the cast is terrific! Second, the best horror films are the ones with evil, sadistic, kids. What's scarier than a kid who goes around killing people. In Whisper, David is a kid of fortune, but very introverted.... read more At his birthday party, he's kidnapped and held from ransom, but he's not really the prisoner, they are! I tried to like this movie, but honestly I didn't. The cast was excellent, but the film moves very slowly, very little actually happens, and when it does, you already knew it was coming. It wasn't an awful movie, and this cast is certainly appealing, but something just doesn't click. I'd avoid this one if I were you.

This movie is a surprisingly good Omen rip-off with a ransom plot. I'm a Josh Holloway (Sawyer in Lost) fan so that's probably why I liked it. He is about as cool as he is in Lost while the kid is really creepy. I also really liked how it ended, it's the way I was hoping it would... read more. It was less predictable than I expected.

An atmospheric little horror/thriller that has alot going for it. Draws very much from 'The Omen', but has enough originality that it is something all its own.

A fine example of a minimal budget overcome by smart film making and directorial vision. The story is interesting off... read more the bat, and you get thrown a couple twists along the way. The script is hit and miss. Some of it feels well developed, but there's several moments of clunky dialogue that don't fit in. The acting is about what you would expect. Not great, not awful, although I always enjoy Rooker, and Holloway delivers a pretty decent performance as well.

I am usually the first one to rip up movies featuring the creepy kid angle, but this one pulls it off right. The kid is actually creepy, and his creepiness is revealed slowly as to stretch out the effectiveness. Like I said, what makes this a good film is its ability to put together a desolate feeling atmosphere. It will not blow you away with action at any point, but it does a good job of capitalizing on the little bit it does have.

The ending is creepy and definitely non-Hollywood, but it is a bit abrupt. Compared to a great deal of more mainstream horror films, this stacks up rather nicely.

I love Josh Holloway from "Lost" and I had never seen him in anything else so this was on TV and I had to watch. Not my favorite brand of movies...demonic children. Josh did good in his role and it was great seeing him act as someone other than Sawyer :)

Whisper in my opinion was surprisingly original and good. So the plot is based around this couple who wants to open a diner but the bank denies them a loan so they of course decide to kidnap a rich family's kid and ask for ransom. Little did they know David is an evil child and g... read moreetting rid of him is going to be much harder than they thought. Although this might seem to follow the stereo typical evil kiddie film this movie is all original and definitely will give you something that you were not expecting. Starting with the acting ok, I am not a fan of Lost and it's second rate wannabe actors at all, and I think that one of the only faults of the film was casting them. But luckily the acting skills of Blake Woodruff were enough to save them. I am telling you this kid knows how to act, his performance is one of the best I have ever seen in an evil child film, and that's saying a lot because evil children are one of my favorite sub genres. Gore, actually not much at all, of course you get a dead bird and stuff just because every evil little boy has to start somewhere but that?s just about it. What's really cool about this movie was that it didn't need it. Gore in most cases is a necessity in horror films but in this the suspense and the character depth are plenty. I love films that are completely and utterly fixated on the story and the characters and this one definitely has that. I also loved the atmosphere the setting and the tension that it made was just impeccable. Soundtrack, this takes place in the holiday season so you get some Christmas music but I personally loved it and thought it was a total score. Now this movie was released right around the time the Omen remake came out. Now the Omen (original) was inevitably one of the best demon child films in history and in my opinion the remake sucked and I was so disappointed. So having this come out not to long after was perfect because you got everything in this that you should have gotten in the remake. Bottom line, this is sure to please any one who likes evil children movies. And even if you think you have seen it all, trust me you haven't and you need to go get this. Definitely worth a check.

Decent movie, the idea of it is a little over done. The ending was pretty lame unfortunately. So the movie is about a group of people that kidnap a little boy, David but David is working for the Devil. Yes, rather odd but not very scary actually.

Very enjoyable time with this film. Though not exceptional in plot or horrific moments it was still well enough constructed and acted that I felt no need to do my nails while watching. Sarah Wayne Callies was so beautiful and melancholy, and Blake Woodruff so confusingly pitiful ... read moreas a sad lonlely boy with no friends to play with that when his evil side begins to appear you almost understand why. Some good edited jump moments and creepy child stares with a good dialoge not a time wasted at all.
