Lauderdale, Florida -- where the boys are. There are plenty of parties, booze, and sex to keep minds off calculus for awhile. Merritt Andrews (Hart) and Ryder Smith (George Hamilton) manage to get together, Tuggle Carpenter (Paula Prentiss) manages to let her comedic talents shine, Angie (Connie Francis) sings the hit title song, but Melanie (Yvette Mimeux) becomes a casualty of too many good times. She will recover, and all the leads will go on to good, even great careers in some cases. Dolores Hart was the only featured player here to leave Hollywood behind -- she became a Benedictine nun in 1963. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

A pretty good teen movie with a predictable story of a crazy spring break and a group of teens looking for love. It's fun and has some really funny scenes, but it could have been better.

The Beach Movies of the 60's were a bit of Americana Cinema in a category of their own & great Mindless Fun that really hasn't been duplicated

Pretty good older movie of college kids going on spring break in Florida...I enjoyed seeing people like George Hamilton and Jim Hutton at a VERY young age and also Connie Francis singing her heart out :)

Very bold, considering the time it wasd made. Paula Prentiss was my Amazon hero (for I know what it is to be a tall woman) and I loved her romance with Hutton.

A great movie about 4 college girls that sneak off to the beaches of Florida during Spring Break. Some of the themes here were a bit heavy, and not quite as light hearted as its beach movie counterparts that feature Frankie & Annette, but the moral was a good one. Very good per... read moreformances though, including Connie Francis in her breakout role. Love the title song!

The movie that sent me to Daytona Beach my freshman year in college. A well rounded teen movie with humor, music, tragedy, etc. All the kinds of things that really occur in spring breaks.

Such a cute film. I found myself doing a double take at a surprisingly untanned, but very romantic George Hamilton. The Paula Prentiss/ Jim Hutton story line was very cute as well. Dealt with surprisingly frank subject matter for 1960, showing how far the later Beach films backtr... read moreacked. A must see.

It must have been some kind of alternate universe these movie people lived in, because it wasn't any sort of world I knew. Full Review
