I love that this defies all logic and managed to crank out a sequel to a movie that never should've had one. The idea of adding a supernatural element to the corpse of Bernie is truly a work of written art. I could never create something like a person coming to life from music. I... read more

Man, did Bernie just eat preservatives his whole life or what? Of all the movies I would have thought you could never make a sequal to, this would be way up there on the list.

Half a star is too generous. I'd give it No stars if it was an option. In this dumb sequel, Bernie can now get up and dance when music is played, due to voodoo.
Yeah....avoid it. It's totally unfunny, at least the first was stupid and funny. This one is just stupid.
Critic Reviews
Through it all, Mr. Kiser, who says not a word, exudes the foolish amiability of a partygoer who is beyond plotzed and is living in a private world of his own. Full Review
I find it hard to believe that many people will pay $6 or $7 to see a picture that has TV sitcom production values, writing, and acting. Full Review
If the premise of the first film was mindless and repetitive, it's doubly so this second time around. Full Review
At the film's conclusion, unfortunately, Bernie is still a fully animate zombie, leaving open the possibility of a third weekend. Full Review
Why would anyone want to be caught dead with Bernie and his banal buddies a second time around? Relentlessly labored and pointless
Frankly I'm stunned that every American who paid to see it didn't file a class action suit against Tri-Star Pictures for their blatant misrepresentation of the word "comedy". Full Review
Sad sequel to a surprisingly clever dark comedy. The voodoo curse is pointless, and all the funny death moments were used up in teh first one.
Just as the lead characters try to squeeze more use out of a rotting corpse, so do the filmmakers from this tired premise.
At times funny, but more often stupid.
