What we have here, is a one joke movie that's excruciatingly juvennile and gut bustingly corny but that's not to say it wasn't at all funny. Weekend at Bernie's has become a cultural icon and there's been a lot of cheap rip off's chunked out over the years that can't copy what th... read more

A silly yet fun and enjoyable comedy from the 80's. A typical comedy of the time, one for a blast from the past!

This movie is just plain awful, it really amazes me that it has become some sort of trashy cult along the years. Irritating and completely unfunny, it is unbearable to see a bunch of stupid characters incapable of noticing that a man is obviously dead.

This isn't the best comedy of the year or anything, but it is very funny in a goofy, yet dark way, so I enjoy it anyway.

Just a fun, light 80's movie. Possibly rated it half a star more than it really deserves, but I always enjoy revisiting films from this decade, plus it deserves it just for the inclusion of Andrew McCarthy (where is he these days?!).
Not much on plot - two young guys uncover a... read more -

Only a movie from the 80s could have this premise, it's just that weird and goofy. You'd think a movie about a dead body would be serious, but in no way does this contain an ounce of drama. That being said, it's hilarious and played out very well. Andrew McCarthy and his friend g... read more

Weekend with Bernie was a late 80's classic comedy.
The actors are halarioius through out the entire movie and there's actually more to it then just two guys pretending there dead boss is still alive to enjoy a weeked.
There's also a little romance comedy behind it and just t... read more

Couldn't even drag a smile out of me. Chalk it up to either old age or the calcification of taste. Or just blame it on Silverman and McCarthy, who found their careers rightfully torn to shreds soon af... Full Review
There are a few jokes that hit home quite successfully, but at 98 minutes, you'll probably be looking forward to this weekend's big finale. Full Review
...might just be the ultimate wacky '80s comedy... Full Review
Hilarious goofball comedy from the late 80s.
Tasteless one-joke premise actually evokes laughs.
Weekend at Bernie?s doesn?t really work, partly because it expects a single joke, that nobody realizes Bernie?s dead, to carry the whole movie. Full Review
Really funny. Also really stupid. Still, it delivers the laughs.
A classic of the dumb, hit-on-the-head comedy genre!
So terribly corny, it's irresistible!
