His son. His life. His freedom. He's taking them all back.

Very good movie. I enjoyed it alot, It had a good conflict from beginning to end which kept you intrigued the whole time. Great ending they way it should be. I gotta say Meagan Good to me is the hottest most sexiest blac... read morek woman alive, her lips are perfect meant to be kissed, what a body, smoking HOT!

In South Los Angeles, while bringing his beloved son Junior back home from school, the paroled ex-convicted O2 promises his son that he would always come back to him and never leave him alone. However, his car is hijacked and Junior is kidnapped. Without any lead, O2 forces the street vendor Coco to help him to find where his car might have been sent for disassembling. Meanwhile, O2's addicted brother Lucky discovers that the cruel leader of the Outlaw Syndicate, the drug lord Meat, is keeping the boy arrested in a room and asking a ransom of US$ 100,000.00 that he believes O2 have from an old heist. O2 and Coco plot a scheme to put the pimp P-Money and Meat against each other and steal their money.

    Really good action romance.Starring Tyrese.

Awful movie. The only bright spot was Meagan Good.

God, I can't believe I paid to see this confused mess of a ghetto action movie. It's predictable, cloying, embarrassingly targeted at a certain audience, and perhaps worst of all - full of product placement. Yes, EVERY prostitute in Los Angeles has a Razr cell phone. Clearly.

Besides the somewhat over-the-top ending, it's a fun ride to watch, with Tyrese particularly turning in a good job.

During Waist Deep's painfully slow climb toward its climax, one of the only white characters (taking a cue from the Wayans Brothers, all Caucasians presented in this movie are portrayed as goofy stooges), says to the title characters, "You guys are like the modern-day Bonnie and ... read moreClyde!" Well, Waist Deep never quite reaches the high plateau of Arthur Penn's 1967 masterpiece. In fact, it doesn't even come close to licking its hobnail boots. In fact, this reviewer's not even sure what genre this movie was aiming for: action-adventure or family drama. Despite earnest intentions, the movie loses focus fast and drags moviegoers down with it. To exemplify this, the camera actually drifts away from the action in some scenes as if the camerman, like the audience, was also fast losing interest.

In the R-rated actioner/drama Waist Deep, a paroled ex-con (Gibson) whose son is kidnapped in a carjacking and a street hustler (Good) are forced into a life of armed robbery to make an impossible ransom deadline set by the vicious leader (the Game) of an evil syndicate. And this all begs the question: Is there really any OTHER kind of syndicates in movies like this?

The cast does a fine job, hard-selling moviegoers on a preposterous story ripped from other innumerous bad B-movies. Ultimately, however, the actors don't even they know where this Z-Grade piece of supposed entertainment is headed.

    Bottom line: Knee-Deep.

An good movie not in the caliber of "Menace To Society" though. I hate it when the bad guy goes to the lower level of kidnapping some's KID. That is an all time low. Add a star if you disagree. A good watch though.

"Waist Deep" Stole, "Hosatge's", and "Cradle 2 the Graves" plots and storylines, and rolled them all into and Hour and a Half long Unapolagizing B-movie, that never gives a good reason to keep watching.
