    The above movie poster, which Netflix Instant tastefully crops, makes this film look more provocative than it ever manages to be. Essentially, one long torture porn scene with the same victim, Victim establishes its premise within the first five minutes, and it becomes readily a... read morepparent pretty early where the plot is heading. Disturbing in part, most of the all the film just feels unnecessary and derivative.

    I couldn't really think of a better way movie to start describing this in comparison, and really I shouldn't compare it and take it for its own merits. However, this falls plainly in the category of The Human Centipede and Hostel (I haven't seen Hostel, but I know what it's about... read more). However, this one takes it to a well perverse level that is supposed to be unexpected, but is well telegraphed.

    Still, there is a weird entertainment value in it. And it's not really suspense as much as curiosity and morbid guile. It goes exactly where you think it will, but you keep watching. You want something really off the wall to happen, besides the main premise.

    But it really never does. And really gets cheesy toward the middle. And there's where it falls next to Human Centipede.
