This film almost has good points and could have made it as good film, perhaps if the acting was a little more gritty and parts of the plot were tidied up it would have been. In a world full of materialistic teens, the only one with a heart seems to be ... read more -

Such a dull and boring movie. I stopped at the 10 minute mark. That narrator was killing me. His monotone voice giving me useless background information that I didn't need to know and didn't give a fuck about. Omggggg I didn't even watch it for that long, but it drove me insane. ... read more

Worse than I figured it would be and that's saying quite a lot! Teens using and more teens using and teens partying and more teens using and that's pretty much the film summed up. Some violence with only a scant hint at some kind of storyline involving White Mike's cousin being m... read more

I enjoyed "Twelve" for some very superficial reasons. I am always drawn to films where characters intersect in random ways. Also, films about rich people doing bad things always appeals to me in a very obvious way. Now, I am not saying "Twelve" is a good film, I will say it's an ... read more

This is monumentally bad. Not only is it a terrible rendition of a great book, but it essentially says nothing at all. Joel Schumacher tries to bring in all these different elements into the story, including white backdrops for flashbacks and odd movement blurs, but they just don... read more

The best thing about this teenage drug drama is the character development. All of the characters in the film are taken and measured down to a key point to why their connected and supposed to be in the film. It works really well and its the only good thing "Twelve" has to offer: i... read more

The film was so so. It kind of felt like the movies Less Than Zero or Traffic, but those films were much better than this one. Kiefer Sutherland's narration was not necessary. If they were to have a narration, it should have been by Chace Crawford. Actingwise, Crawford, Emma Robe... read more

Good for a teen drama about drugs, The voice-over narrative gets a little drawn out and monotonous, especially with Kiefer Sutherland's voice, but the teen acting is done well with a lot of new faces. I am liking Emma Roberts more every time I see her now that she is acting in ad... read more

Great voice-over narration. That part was well written. And that's really about the only thing positive I can say about this flick. Chace Crawford did exhibit some star power, however, but, beyond that, the story was uninteresting and pointless.

The result isn't awful, but it is awfully familiar. When will someone make a film about being old, poor and ugly in Omaha? Full Review
It feels as shopworn as a dusty VHS tape of Less Than Zero. Full Review

This movie's like an audiobook, accompanied by visuals from a 7-year-old copy of Vogue. Full Review
Joel Schumacher's 'Twelve,' from a much better 2002 novel by Nick McDonell, is a drag-ass slog. Full Review
Unlike the novel, the movie never really gets inside these kids, who aren't in the least all right. Full Review
Though Crawford's bangs and facial hair are the most art-directed aspect of the movie, he's costumed to look like a member of the Trenchcoat Mafia (Madison Avenue branch). Full Review
