This is one of the best Jennifer Love Hewitt film I ever like in her offbeat and bittersweet romantic comedy hilariously exposes the truth about love. Hewitt's series of erotic messages, phone sex encounters, clandestine meetings and more make me feel so hot.

I found this movie to be very entertaining. This is a romantic comedy where a wife wants to find out if her husband is having an affair, so she sends a fake valentine card to her husband pretending to be another woman. She wants to test him and see how far he is willing to go wit... read more

Here's an interesting movie. Good story plot. Great cast. A little on the humorous side, that's good. Hewitt's voice-over was definitely a mindset, glad she didn't try to enact it herself. Definitely worthy!

I found this movie very interesting, the characters had unusual dynamics and the plot was rather good.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is quite good, but the rest of the cast lacks the necessary chemistry to make this film work. The premise is a good one, but somehow director John Hay doesn't pull it all together, it goes off on too many tangents and losing focus. Overall, it's not bad, just... read more

An awkward, last-minute romantic dash to Bristol's Temple Meads station in the style of Richard Curtis only serves to underline the air of creative bankruptcy. Full Review
John Hay's film has been on the shelf since 2004, and whoever decided to take it from there has some explaining to do. Full Review

The truth is, no matter how pretty this picture may be to look at, nothing can conceal its singular lack of humour or heart. Full Review
It is a poor movie indeed that makes you reconsider the talent of Richard Curtis. Full Review
while Dougray Scott is a viable romantic alternative, he's absent from too much of the film, leaving Alice to discover 'The Truth About Love' long after we all stopped caring. Full Review
Borrowed liberally from stock British elements (Dougray Scott's character is restoring a boat! There's a chase to stop a lover leaving!), there's nothing new to enjoy here. Full Review
A decent idea and cast are neglected in this ungainly Britcom with less of the com. A British actress might have been a better bet for this one. Full Review
...a predictable, thoroughly cliched romantic comedy... Full Review
