It's back to Perfection, NV, for munitions-crazed Graboid hunter Burt Gummer (Michael Gross), who has made a career out of chasing and slaying the burrowing "sub-terrestrial" creatures that pop out of... read more read more... the ground and eat whomever happens to be standing there. This time Gummer is assisted by wisecracking cowboy Jack Sawyer (Shawn Christian), who runs a shabby theme park based on the critters, and Jodi Chang (Susan Chuang), whose convenience store is unfortunately at Graboid Ground Zero. Gummer and company have their hands full this time, when the oversized worms have mutated to a new state -- not only do they burrow, but they have wings and can fly like carnivorous dragons. Does Gummer have enough shells in his artillery cannons to knock them all from the sky? ~ Buzz McClain, Rovi

The Food Chain Just Grew Another Link.

Oh geez.. They should have done only the first two, this was a freaking crappy sequel and the special effects were just so fake, the story just suck and the characters barely impressed. I expect Tremors 4 to be exactly the same.. can't wait... read more ja..

Burt Gummer returns home to Perfection, Nevada, from a trip to Argentina, where he wiped out a herd of Shriekers. Things are a little different in Perfection now -- the community has become something of a tourist attraction because of a battle against Graboids about 11 years ago. Nancy Sterngood and her 22-year-old daughter Mindy still live in Perfection. Burt's friend Miguel still calls Perfection home. Obnoxious Melvin Plug has moved into real estate, and he is now trying to build homes in Perfection. There are even Graboid comic books on the racks, and Safari Jack Sawyer takes families out on phony Graboid hunts for a few bucks. Burt's pretty disgusted by the whole thing. The Graboids haven't surfaced in Perfection since the battle from 11 years ago, but that hasn't kept Burt from slacking off. His home is like a fort, completely Graboid proof and Shrieker proof. But after 11 years, the Graboids and Shriekers have returned, but this time there's trouble. Government officials show up to protect the monsters, because Graboids are an endangered species. To further complicate things, the Shriekers evolve into a new kind of flying creature that can sense body warmth in much the same way the Shriekers can, and local store owner Jodi Chang, the niece of the late Walter Chang, calls them Ass Blasters. Burt unloads his arsenal of weapons to use against the monsters, and Jack and Jodi team up with him. But since these creatures can fly, and are each carrying a Graboid egg inside of it, Burt, Jack, and Jodi are going to have to watch every single step they take if they are going to stay alive long enough to stop the monsters.

Even though this is the weakest entry in the series, It's still in it's on way, a decent film. However It seemed that by this point, the Film makers ran out of ideas, and tried to hard to make an new idea work. I found myself not liking this film as much as the first 2. When I fi... read morenished watching the film, I had mixed feelings about it. I thought they could have done a better job. Michael Gross was in a lack of a better word, Irritating by this point in the series, I sometimes cringed when he would say something on screen. If your looking for the weakest Link in the food chain, this film is it. But for all it's flaws, Tremors 3: Back To perfection is decent enough for the viewer to be entertained.

This third installment is very interesting and entertaining because there is a brand-new option that these "graboids" can turn into, one that can fly and shoot a flame out its rear end, lovingly called "assblasters". And this is surprising few supporting cast from the original fi... read morelm returning to this third installment.

This movie sure isn't the original. Not even the sequel. But, it has the perks of michael gross, whose charm all but runs out before the fourth one.

The 3rd and 2nd weakest of the series. The Graboids have evolved again in this and threaten to ruin a property development. Can Burt save the day again?

This was the 3rd best of the series and what do you know it's the third film as well. This film actually takes you back to the original setting from the first film so many of the old characters are included along with some new ones as well.

This movie wasn't all that suspensef

The third in the series of "Tremors" movies, this one official flips ontop of itself and turns into a rotting carcass. In the first "Tremors", we follow Bassett (Fred Ward) and McKee (Kevin Bacon), two loners who discover a species of killer worms that are destroying the desert t... read moreown that is ironically named Perfection. Bassett and McKee kill the worms and collect a large sum of money as a reward for their discovery. In "Tremors 2", McKee has moved away and used his fortune to get famous, while Bassett stays behind in Perfection slowly wasting away what he's got left of his fortune. Bassett, along with an enthusiastic sidekick, get called upon by the Mexican Government to help get rid of an infestation of these killer worms. Bassett calls upon the help of his trigger-happy neighbor, Burt Gummer (Michael Gross), to help him solve the problem when the killer worms evolve into two legged heat sensoring beetle things, and they end up killing most of them, but unfortunatelly they reproduce rapidly. Finally, in "Tremors 3", Burt Gummer has started a hobby of using elaborately violent bombs and guns to kill these new beetle things, which now number in the thousands. A few killer worms show up again in Perfection, which Gummer and co. think will be easy to get rid of, but the Government sends in enviormentalists to stop them from harming any of the creatures. The enviormentalists soon get eaten, and the beetle things evolve into pterodactyl fire-breathing things, then all hell breaks loose.

This film, unlike the previous films in the series, is laughably bad and lacks likeable characters. The majority of the supporting cast, or just pretty much everyone except Michael Gross, are horrible at acting and the devastating script doesn't help in the least. Also unlike the previous films in the series, this is the first to feature actual visual special effects, and it's not only bad, it's worse than the completelly fake handpuppets used as the worm's heads. The only reason I would ever recommend watching this movie would be if you could accept that this is a horrible film and could convert it's absurdity and lack of common sense into comedy gold.

Michael Gross returns to not only the third movie, but the same town that the first film was set in. Now both government agents, and land developers are moving into the tiny town of Perfection, but with vastly different motives. Gross and company are caught in the middle, while d... read moreealing with the "Graboids", "Shriekers", and their newest evolution, "The Ass Blasters". That's right, now the creatures shoot fire from their buts, and they FLY! So now our heroes have to worry about below ground, above ground, and in the sky. What to do? The only slight disappointment in the Tremors series, the film seems to suffer from a slightly more forced sense of humor, and a couple of less than interesting characters, particularly Susan Chuang as the granddaughter of the late shop owner. Still, it's still a faced paced, fun movie, and a step up from other direct to video creature movies you're likely to see.

Not as good as the first two but a must see for the fans of the last two films about giant killing worms.
  • December 29, 2011
This is a watchable 3rd installment, but it is far from the original or even the second film.

By now, it is clear that Michael Gross's character is the focal point of the franchise, and while he is great in this role, he is better as a supporting character rather than the star. ... read moreThe absurdity of the plot line goes from funny and amusing in the 2nd film, to simply absurd in this one.

It just doesn't seem to have the pop of the first two, nor the back and forth dialogue which made for alot of the humor in the first 2 films. Still an above average B-grade monster movie, but its humor and wit aren't enough to vaunt it to cult-classic status. Stick with the original two unless your a real fan of the franchise.
