After his 13-year-old sister is abducted by sex traffickers, a determined Mexican teen travels from the barrios of Mexico City to a run-down stash house in New Jersey in a desperate attempt to rescue ... read more read more...the frightened girl before she is swallowed whole by one of the criminal underworld's darkest secrets. Jorge's (Cesar Ramos) adolescent sister, Adriana (Paulina Gaitan), has been kidnapped and thrust into a lucrative underground trade in which young girls are bought and sold to the highest bidder. Now, as the terrified youngster is herded through a complex network of underground tunnels leading into the United States, her only ally is a Polish woman named Veronica (Alicja Bachleda), who has been tricked into the trade by the same nefarious gang. After circumventing immigration officers and eventually working his way across the border, the desperate Jorge comes into contact with a Texas lawman named Ray (Kevin Kline), whose own devastating personal loss to sex traffickers causes him to join the search for Adriana. In the dark days that follow, Jorge and Ray form a close bond as they witness the horrors of a secret Internet sex slave auction and discover just how far the depths of human depravity can plunge while attempting to maintain hope that brother and sister will one day be reunited. In the world of international sex trafficking, however, innocent victims disappear without a trace every day and few who fall prey to these reprehensible predators are ever seen again. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Mind numbingly soberering. as a father of two young daughters this is my worst nightmare. The fact that the movie is based on what happens every day is a chilling reminder of how far we have yet to go as a society.

The less you know about this film, the more it hits you like a hammer. It follows a desperate Mexican boy who's adorable sister has been kidnapped into the USA, presumably as sex slave. After teaming up with cop Ray his chances get better, but it's still a hopeless race against t... read moreime. The outstanding acting, cinematography and overall atmosphere of the film make for a highly uncomfortable feeling, intentionally so, of course. You can't help but hope for everything to turn out at least okay, but every set back makes you less optimistic about it. Thankfully, the film never gets preachy or dramatic just for drama's sake. For the longest time it's even painfully realistic, even if one of the later twists may be a tad too much. Still, this is gloomy, enthralling and disenchanting look on sex trafficking that should leave no one untouched.

Awesome movie about Child abduction and sexual slave trade that goes on throughout the world. This is about a 13 year old Mexican Girl who is abducted and what her 16 year old brother does to save her. Very enjoyable and eye opener. 5 stars

Great movie showing the darkness people are capable of doing to others. Very well acted and a sweet story of a brother doing all he can to help his sister with the help of a stranger. Tough to watch a few scenes, but it brings the necessary emotions.

More or less (okay, a bit less) at par with Taken. If you aren't taken by Taken as yet, you might want to trade for a copy of Trade. Not a must watch, though.

Grim if now somewhat over familiar people trafficking 'issue' drama. Predictable plot is jolted with one fine scene on a cliff top. Kevin Kline is passable. A noble cause to highlight but not terribly entertaining.

Great film that takes you inside a world where young women are kidnapped and sold for sex. It focuses on a brother and sister in Mexico; it's the young girls 13th birthday and her older brother gives her a bicycle as a gift. As the young girl takes it out for a ride one morning s... read morehe is kidnapped and her brother goes out to find her. Along the way he meets Kevin Kline and they, together go on a journey to bring her back home. It's sad to know that this happens everyday, but still good to watch.

Tough film to watch but you get drawn into a world your wrost nightmare are made of.
Kevin Kline on top form and give a career best and with a cast of unknowns all give a ultra realistic performance.
Worth a look you will be shocked.

Better than most message movies, though flawed in its big brother subplot.

Trade was a brutal movie, with good and strong performances about a delicate matter, the sex traffic of children and teens across the world, in this movie it was in Mexico.I found the movie brutal due to the rape scenes, the kidnappers forced the girls to drugs and abuse them sex... read moreually and emotionally as well.
Kevin Kline had a great role, and the other actors and actresses all did a fine job of making the movie feel real. But I had to say the story had some strange twists and a forced happy ending. That had ruin the whole suspense for me.
