A man is sent into the future to see the possible results of his actions in this mixture of sci-fi adventure and Christian drama. In 1890, Russell Carlisle (D. David Morin) is a philosopher and colleg... read more read more...e professor who has completed a manuscript he calls "The Changing Times." The university where Carlisle teaches is considering publishing his latest work, but a committee of ranking professors under the leadership of the school's Dean (Hal Linden) must first vote unanimously to approve the material. One of Carlisle's colleagues, Norris Anderson (Gavin MacLeod), strongly objects to the paper on the grounds that Carlisle contends morality can be taught apart from Christianity -- a view that Anderson, a devout Christian, cannot abide. Carlisle becomes increasingly frustrated with Anderson's objections, but after the meeting, Anderson shows Carlisle something remarkable -- a working time machine he has built in his home. Using this innovation, Anderson sends Carlisle to a typical American city in the year 2001, in order to show the impact his ideas could have as he witnesses a society in which morality and Christianity are considered separate entities. As he tries to make his way through modern-day America, Carlisle becomes friendly with Eddie (Paul Rodriguez), a well-meaning regular guy, and Michelle (Jennifer O'Neill), a beautiful woman with a mind of her own. Time Changer is the first feature film from writer and director Rich Christiano, who has been making short films for the Christian marketplace since 1991. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

I grew a brain a long time ago. I realized that god did not exist. I also, fairly recently, that Jesus, as a man, did not exist. There's a possibility, but there's no proof.

This is a moralistic load of horse crap. I wanted to vomit through the whole thing. It is absolutely ... read moreworthless as a film. It is nothing more than a load of preaching.

Run from this POS. Learn that it's all BS. God does not exist. And the Bible is a load of lies.

Embarrassingly bad, surprisingly poor acting from some established actors. Very clearly low budget, which effects the film in a negative way. The one sided preachiness is unbearable, it is by no means subtle, it clobbers you over the head repeatedly with it?s message. The amateur... read more direction by Rich Christiano lacks style and warmth. The screenplay is irritating, apparently the writers have never heard of separation of church and state.

I really like this movie because it's plays back to the past but instead of that by looking into the future now and the present.

Very well made film, especially for the Christian genre. The acting has nothing to be desired, and the story is clear and engaging. (I especially applaud the good use of humor in certain scenes.)

I got it because I like time travel movies, what I got was Christian propaganda, wish I'd have read a few reviews beforehand

TIME CHANGER is certainly not going to appeal to all audiences, especially teeny-boppers who may be atracted by the SCI-FI elements of the film's artwork and trailers. Yes, the film contains some very cool visual effects and a plot premise right out of H.G. Well's Time Machine. H... read moreowever, make no mistake, director Rich Christiano and his investors at Trinity Broadcasting Network are using this unique Sci-Fi premise to make a definitive spiritual point.

I have seen many "Christian" movies over the years and often I am left a bit disappointed with the production and acting quality. This film is quite good on both counts and the message is quite challenging and thought provoking. It reminds me of the Old Testament account of Lot. Lot was a man who was influenced by his cultural surroundings and wound up losing the ability to truly discern good and evil. Likewise, this film shows how believers can be caught up and swept away by the modern culture that we live in and in the process foul up our moral barometers. As believers we need to live in the world, but not be "worldly"

if you are looking for a thought provoking and, dare I say, a "Life Changing" movie that entertains at the same time then you have found an excellent choice! Don't dismiss the teachings in this movie before comparing them to the Bible...the ultimate authority for the topics covered in this film. Just because you aren't a "Born Again Christian" don't dismiss this movie...as long as you have an open mind...it may likely be the best movie you could pop in your DVD player tonight.

"Said who," "Who do you think you are." You cannot teach the teachings of Christ apart from the Christ of the teachings. A Christian movie about a man going from his time to the future, to see how the world has become wicked. It makes my list of Good/Bad movies because of the horrible acting of D. David Morin, the main character.

Will give many ministers and Bible-study groups hours of material to discuss. But mainstream audiences will find little of interest in this film, which is often preachy and poorly acted. Full Review
