Michael Jackson's Thriller is one of the greatest music videos ever filmed. Using horror elements, director John Landis has made the most legendary music video ever. With great music (considering that I'm a metalhead, Michael Jackson is the only pop star I can listen to), and eff... read moreective special effects, Thriller is a fun, yet extravagant music video, and I mean that as a compliment. With stunning special effects by Rick Baker, Thriller is one terrific music video. The film has a 1940's-1950's vibe and John Landis captures that feeling perfectly. Add to that the incredible song Thriller, and you have something very unique. This was made back when music mattered, all the genres seem to co-exist and record companies knew actual talent when they saw it. Unlike today where the only artists are rip-offs of other 80's icons and the like. Thriller remains unmatched as a music video, and no amount of theatrical elements like what many "artists" of today are using will ever top this horrifying music video. Brilliantly crafted with stunning dance sequences mixed with an old school horror vibe make this music video a must see for the Halloween season. Like I stated previously, no other "artist" will top this music video with their crappy moves or crappy music. Michael Jackson was a unique talent, there may be a dozen copy cats that are trying to gain the amount of popularity (Lady Gaga, who is talentless beyond belief), but none will ever come close. Thriller is statement that music is more than that, and Michael Jackson conceived a short film that no matter how many so called "talents" try to outdo, they'll never succeed. Thriller is timeless, but the new found flavor of the month artists aren't. A terrific accomplishment in music and film history.

THRILLER is a fun one. But a quirky one, mind you. It's as if George A. Romero and Kenny Ortega got together, decided to take Michael Jackson's music, and turn it into a tedious cross between a short film and a music video.

In other words, the dancing zombies seem awkward, a... read morend it feels as if the "un-dead" ones from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD tried to dance their way to MJ and coax him to join them. I liked it, and it's become a high-budget classic--an almost non-music video one.

Michael Jackson is Undoubtedly, the king of music and pop to me. His songs are phenomenal and unforgettable to listen to and watch, they're all catchy as hell, and his choreography is fantastic and has left probably the biggest impact on music in history. And even though he has p... read moreassed on his music and his videos will never be forgotten, and Thriller is one of his most memorable music videos of all time and one of his most catchy songs.

While "Thriller" may not be Michael Jackson's best song, the music video is truly a sight.

A good blend of music and horror films is just great!!! A must-see for Michael Jackson and music fans!!! Even kids should watch it.

AWESOME MUSIC VIDEO!!!!!!! THE BEST EVER!!!!??? could well be in my opinion, there is nothing you can say that could possibly be negative about this amazingly well made and rehearsed routine, its perfect.
Every dancer in this short music video does excellent work to keep up with ... read moreJacko who is in the zone baby!! LOL!! he is clearly at the top of his game and at the peak of his dancing ability throughout this whole dance routine. Not a foot wrong and not a move looks out of place, its fantastic and looks even better, faultless, 100% to every performer :)

Then you have the great horror flick homage to stare in ore at, every bit as good as the dancing on show, the makeup is topps, just as good as any big budget film if not better! All the undead look brilliant and well dressed in their rotting atire, the facial makeup is superb and actually gives the performers quite a scary look its that good haha
As we all know its a film of two halves aswell, at first you have Landis redoing his 'American Werewolf' transformation sequence with Jacko and then the second half is obviously a slight homage to Romero zombie flicks of the past with a mix of your standard horror folklore. Its all done so well and will probably never be seen again, such an epic scale of unbeatable genius and achievement its just staggering to think that anyone could say Jackson ISN'T the best there ever was.

My only quibble is its too short haha I always want it to go on and on with more night creatures dancing under the moonlight with Jacko ^___^

    RIP Michael

This is a mini movie of Michael Jackson's album title track 'Thriller'. Directed by John Landis (American Werewolf in London). Michael transforms into a zombie and performs the Thriller zombie dance. The dance is legendary. Thriller became the best selling album in history - a record 110 million copies and I'm sure it will sell millions more. Every year 145,000 copies are sold in US alone.

'Thriller' remains the greatest of the pop music promos to have a plot, great visuals, and a tip-top song to wrap the film around. Michael Jackson was at the top of the tree at this time (and not so altered in his plastic surgery regime for it to matter). Here he is in good form ... read more- the song is terrific, he leads the zombies in dance like no other.

Ola Ray plays the girl who watches with incredulity as her sweet boyfriend (Jackson, natch) turns into a werewolf! Then to the pulsing rhythms of the opening line 'It's close to midnight', he stomps around the graveyard with the other zombies and creatures of the night.

The crowning glory of all this is the fruity voice of the great horror star Vincent Price speaking in the middle of the record. Terrific.

The greatest music video ever . Little recomendation from me in memory of Michael Jackson R.I.P

I'm not exactly a fan just an admirier of his music, mainly from the 1980's. Thriller is one I love.

classic! spooky Michael Jackson werewolf effects and dancing zombies. Better than "Land of the Dead". They showed this many times at the start of MTV and MuchMusic. Everybody was watching it and talking about it.

What can I say? The best music video ever made.
