This movie made me love Michael Jackson. We lost a truly great artist...This was a great look into what a perfectionist (in a good way) he was and how much effort he put into his work. And if you want to see some more great MIchael, watch his short film/music Video for Ghost. Ver... read more

For what it was intended to be, This Is It hit a home run. More than self congratulations, this tribute to the music great could have been a movie shrine to the man that was Michael Jackson. In the very beginning of the film the dancers hired to perform in Jackson's concerts are ... read more

I was never much of a fan of the "King of Pop" in any way shape or form, even going back to the Jackson 5 days, but this documentary has given me new respect for the musician, the entertainer, and the person.
Shot during the final rehearsals before his aborted last tour, this ... read more -

Was definitely interesting to see the inside workings of what would've been an incredible Micheal Jackson concert tour. This is the last we have of him and he's still a superstar even when rehearsing.

Watching MJ back stage for 2 hours , seeing him choreograph his moves, and his loving attention to his musicians was not enough to keep me loving the movie which was pretty saddening having known what happened to him after. But in comparison the movie was worth releasing, just ma... read more

It's purpose isn't to reinvent Jackson, but to recapture some of the creative magic that made the kid from Indiana a worldwide musical ambassador.
It's an expertly packaged -- brilliantly packaged, considering how quickly the job was done -- phantasmagoria that emphasizes, quite convincingly, the energy that Michael could still draw from whateve... Full Review
Michael Jackson's perfectionism fails him in This Is It, and we're all the better for it. Full Review
Perhaps the best way to approach it -- at least for those who are not total Jackson fans -- is to view it as an often-fascinating document on how the sausage (or magic, if you will) is made for a mega... Full Review
In This Is It, Michael Jackson is once again The Thriller, the biggest pop star the world has ever known. Full Review
This Is It is one of the best documents of live performance that I've ever seen, a rehearsal diary that's more intimate and immediate than a traditional concert film. Full Review
Death returned Michael Jackson's humanity, and in a curious, tentative way so too does Michael Jackson's This Is It.
Differing greatly from the rough, casual mood of many behind-the-scenes pop docs, this one is instead of a piece with Jackson's body of work: dazzling and strange, blurring the line between fantasy an... Full Review
Jackson's mystery deepens, even as it dissolves between our fingers. Full Review
