The Ugly Truth is definitely ugly but not exactly truthful. It's badly written, badly acted and has no redeeming features as far as I could tell. It's labelled a rom-com but it was totally devoid of any Romance or comedy, it couldn't even get the stereotypes right. The real ugly ... read more

One of the better more recent Rom-coms and one which most guys will probably find funny as well, in this battle of the sexes. It is predictable, but aren't they all?! It has some quite adult humour and has some very funny scenes and witty dialogue. Check it out even if you normal... read more

The Ugly Truth has a nice moment here and there, but there is much more ugliness than truth. Full Review
Aside from being relational science-fiction, The Ugly Truth feels about 150 years out of date -- or it would, if the script weren't so clinically dependent on the topics of masturbation and genitalia ... Full Review
Despite the fact that it swims in a veritable ocean of romantic comedy clichés, The Ugly Truth should manage to captivate and charm men and women alike. Full Review
Ugly is, indeed, the word for any comedy that manages to insult both its cast and audience with nearly every scene. Full Review
The ugly truth about The Ugly Truth is the fact that -- funny though it is -- it could have been a whole lot funnier. Full Review
Romantic comedies are an increasingly debased genre, but few recent Hollywood products have been anywhere near as crass and contrived as The Ugly Truth. Full Review
Until that final, inevitable kiss, we have to listen to them, and the clatter of their crude, brainless exchanges is unbearable. Full Review
