Lefty: One of those boys was so crazy he sawed his own head off going 90 miles per hour.
"After a decade of silence... The buzzz is back."
Wow I really didn't think this sequel would be that bad. I thought it would keep the things that made the first so great, but Tobe Hooper ... read more -

I was pleasantly surprised by this horror sequel, it's got a better story than the original, you get to know the characters a lot better, there's tons of gore, a dash of humor, and it has some of my favourite songs too. I loved it.

TCM 2 is ridiculously over the top, disturbing, and dementedly hilarious. How can you make the perfect sequel to one of the most horrifying films of all time? Do the exact opposite! And that's what Tobe Hooper did here. Because there's no way anything could touch the original, or... read more

Although not as great as the first film, TCM 2 is still an enjoyable film to watch. The film has a more comedic laid back feel to it than the first TCM. The film is still very entertaining to watch, and we are introduced to Chop Top, Leatherface's psychotic brother, who he is mar... read more

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 spits in the face of nearly everything the brilliantly horrifying original stood for, which is odd considering both movies were made by the same director. It's not particularly scary and for me it was filled to the rim with "oh really?" moments. The scor... read more

While it is not even close to the experience of the first film, it is quite fun and undeniably hilarious. Dennis Hopper played one of the most off center cops, out for revenge on the Sawyers. It is a ridiculous film in nature and is certainly more off of its rocker than the first... read more

A couple of good scares and some decent make-up from Tom Savini aside, this film is not very good. Dennis Hopper's 'Bring it down' moment has to be one of the worst moments in cinema! Leather face was about as scary as a care bear and the end was painful. I'm a fan of Tobe Hooper... read more

Hopper (as God's right hand sheriff) is the best part of this flick. The grandpa gimmick is done again successfully, and this manic character controlling Leatherface is refreshingly witty and political. But that's where the goodness ends, as this is simply not very scary, being p... read more

A revved up demented sequel to the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" with lots of great scenes and dialogue. Gore is plentiful with a hammer bashing, a person being skinned alive, a chainsaw opening up someone's skull, and lots of body sawing. It has a few jump moments, and a superb chai... read more

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a horrific realistic, and a genuinely terrifying film. This second is a strange (even stranger than the original) very sick ( a man forces a woman to wear her friends face??) and very budget blown (the appearance of Dennis Hopper).
We have Leath... read more

Part 2 has a lot of blood and disembowelment, to be sure, but it doesn't have the terror of the original, the desire to be taken seriously. It's a geek show. Full Review
A good deal gorier and more disturbing than the original. Certainly it's far better than the soulless 2003 remake. Full Review
A ripe and wicked horror-comedy, as black as pitch and every bit as violent as naysayers mistakenly accused the first film of being. Full Review
There is absolutely nothing to distract us from the sheer misery of watching oblivious clowns cracking awful jokes. Full Review
Society is restored as before, but it's a society based on victims and victimizers. De Sade rewrites Darwin. Full Review
...if nothing else, the entire flick may be worth a look for the absurd moment in which Leatherface breaks loose with a particularly apt example of the ol' shifty eye. Full Review
The film feels as if Hooper himself has nothing but contempt for the original and went out of his way to tear it down. Full Review
'Bloody' good fun....Hooper's still the man when it comes to horror
It's all good as long as you consider it a blacker than black comedy (and not a horror movie). Full Review
