Mormon movies could be good if they didn't feel like a bunch of Utah mormons made them, all with the exact same Utah mormon humor. But, I guess they were made by Utah mormons, so go figure.

Funny stuff. Right on key with the singles mormon community. But sometimes, it makes you realize all you can do in those awkward situations is just, laugh.

This movie is totally LDS, but seriously, after being a singles ward for a short time, this movie is nearly dead on.

Mostly only fun for inside jokes and geographical references. Ooh, and cameos, but really a blah movie all and all.

Somewhat amusing but still lame. Most of these "mormon movies" are shit-tastic. -

It all plays out ... like a high-end John Hughes comedy, a kind of Elder Bueller's Time Out. Full Review
Those unfamiliar with Mormon traditions may find The Singles Ward occasionally bewildering. Full Review
There's no conversion effort, much of the writing is genuinely witty and both stars are appealing enough to probably have a good shot at a Hollywood career, if they want one. Full Review
A word of advice to the makers of The Singles Ward: Celebrity cameos do not automatically equal laughs. And neither do cliches, no matter how 'inside' they are. Full Review
