    It was a great animated family adventure. It had incredible animation, scenery, great music, voice cast, characters, adventure and a great storyline. In my opinion, it's one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Great for kids and adults alike.

    I really liked the "bad guy" character in this movie, but it's kind of sad to see another movie that creates a stable father character and nervous, cardboard mother character. I guess it just goes to show the naturally sexist natures in Japan.

    While it falls a little bit short of the majesty of Studio Ghibli's other films (in particular the masterpiece Spirited Away), this is still a beautifully crafted gem. The script (by Spirited Away's Hayao Miyazaki) is small in scope but this is in no way a detriment - the story i... read mores involving and moving, the animation and design stunning and the voice performances excellent (I watched the Japanese version, it's the only way to watch a Ghibli film). And, as with every picture from this studio, it's polished off with an impeccable, lilting score.
    This not see this film is to do yourself a disservice.
