This film's classic storyline of teenage fantasy role-players versus the redneck neighbors plays out like Napoleon Dynamite clashing with Joe Dirt's bucolic enemies. Throw in a group of younger bullies, a plot that revolves around a possible Sasquatch in the area, profits to be m... read more

An indie movie that could almost be a sequel to "Napoleon Dynamite" (it even features Jon "Napoleon" Heder and Jon "Uncle Rico" Gries in it) only these ner... read more -

For being low budget you have to give this comedy some credit. They took personalities of everyday people and took them to the extreme, Justin Long with the best acting role and leading the way, for this movie to become great.
It's halarious from start to end and it's genious ... read more -

This is not a great movie, not an awards contender, or really anything that should associated with any of those words. But I liked it. I liked the characters, despite their unattractive qualities. I liked the idea, which is original and not like anything you've seen in a movie be... read more

Very unusual film. Not sure it lived up to its predecessor Napoleon Dynamite, but it had its funny moments. Justin Long was great in this film. He has proven that he can be great in a drama like He's Just Not That Into you, and then transcend into this half-bit comedy.

A somewhat terrible clone of Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder even makes a cameo) but it made me laugh a few times.

Surprisingly good for such an idiotic subject. It is amazing that one can find something amusing in a movie which tells the story of a shit (and it's not even an authentic one).

It's unfortunate, then, that [Skousen] can't pick a protagonist Full Review
Most of the movie's villains are slack-jawed variations on Beavis and Butt-Head, but Kern's high-pitched dimwit steals the show. As his eyes glaze over, you can see a thought try to cross his face and... Full Review
Napoleon [Dynamite] fans will never admit to it, but Sasquatch is funnier, hinging on a bogus Bigfoot sighting and some hilariously stupid dudes. Full Review
Skousen as storyteller captures the language, the drag, the excesses and the simultaneously sad and wonderful friendships cementing each group. Full Review
[Writer/director Tim] Skousen's low-budget lark is a thing of small virtues. Full Review
If you think it's easy to balance silliness and smarts the way Napoleon Dynamite did, see what happens when it's done badly.
I'd say it must be seen to be believed, but really you ought to wait for TiVo on this one, so you can just skip to the good parts. Full Review
The Sasquatch Gang may not fully qualify as an undiscovered gem, but it's got some dynamite all its own. Full Review
The rather limited outcast-comedy premise is already tapped out. So this painfully unfunny film seems considerably longer than its scant 90-minute running time. Full Review
