Saul has to face the indignity of letting girls play on his team, but things get even worse when one of them brings her dad's toy rocket to the field. The model accidentally sails over the fence and into the yard of Mr. Mertle (James Earl Jones), owner of the meanest dog in town, leaving the kids with a serious dilemma about getting it back. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

This movie is probably the worst movie I've ever seen in my life.

This movie pretty much tries to re-make the original classic, but they fail miserably.

The Sandlot 2 uses pretty much the same characters, except this time they include girls. The girls in this movie cannot ... read moreplay baseball to save their life. They are awful actors, which probably explains why Sandlot 2 was their last movie. The girls use their softball techniques to play baseball, and they claim throughout the movie that "underhand pitches are legal" as if that excuses their lack of skills. Play baseball like a normal person, and stop being weird. Nobody pitches like that.

The script and plot were both pretty much the same. It was frustrating. The acting also drove me crazy. I felt like I was in middle school again, watching kids perform skits in class. Acting was so incredibly awful, I couldn't finish watching the movie.

This sequel completely failed on all levels. It wasn't entertaining or original. It was just a cheap knock off of the amazing classic that is The Sandlot.

im not sure there have been many films more pointless than this. a sequel and a remake attempted in one film. the illusions to the first were cheap attempts to recreate magic, and the script was terrible, making no sense at times. funny how the first sandlot is one of the best... read more kids films of all time, and the sequel is one of the worst.

Completely appauling and rancid. WHY was this film made? It is essentially the same as the first, but more of a cheeseball than any film I have ever seen. If you haven't seen it, don't.

This took one of my favorite childhood movies and just pissed all over it. While the first one was about friendship, finding a place to belong, and a group of boys love for summer baseball games with each other. All the characters are great. The heart and soul is there. This just... read more has absolutely none of that. And in a movie thatâ(TM)s an hour forty-five you barely get any baseball. Then they take a new set of kids in the same sandlot 10 years later. But the story is exactly the same while they just change a few details around. Like instead of a Babe Ruth autograph baseball going over the fence it's a model rocket. But I must say it is always welcoming to see James Earl Jones. Still a piece of cash in garbage that should be burnt.

They couldn't even come up with a new plot for this movie. It's the same movie except for the fact that there's less baseball which makes it worse.

This was one of the movies I saw once, hated it. Saw twice, liked it. Very good storyline, nice love story, and pretty good for a sequel. With also some scary scenes (a.k.a. the bigfoot house, skull formed in washing machines, the story of Fear, and the size of the dog.) But very sad at... read more the end. Overall,ok!

If you've already seen The Sandlot, and that would be almost everyone, you may be disappointed that so very little of anything new has been added.

Certainly funny, charming, and sincere enough to earn a solid B+ from the Sandlot-faithful. (And there are lots of us!) Full Review
