Pretty to look at, but unnecessarily slow...as if the goal were to make a heist movie without the vulgar ingredient of excitement. Very odd movie. I kept asking myself "is there a point to all this"? Very long, too. Just not my cup of tea, apparently.

Such a beautiful and well done movie. Often mindbending and heartbreaking. Incredible score/soundtrack too. I'm definitely kicking myself for not seeing this sooner.

Do you know what you get when you have your climax half way through the movie? A bad movie. A series of random events that never really leads anywhere or builds any sort of attachment to the characters.

Interesting direction. It was a lot different from what I thought it was going to be. It was okay. I found the characters to be two-dimensional.
Critic Reviews
Often fascinating but bizarre and, ultimately, unsatisfying.
Its two characters remain figures, merely symbols. Full Review
Every person's behavior, Tykwer demonstrates with a flourish, is ultimately a matter of chance. Full Review
Mesmerizing fable of frozen grief and stubborn love.
You don't have any idea what's going to happen next. Full Review
This is a love story, but it isn't one you've ever seen before. Full Review
Formalistically elegant and meticulous, yet ultimately unengaging. Full Review
What's special about the film is at a deeper level, down where [Tykwer] engages with the souls of his characters. Full Review
Nowhere near as dynamic as the title implies.
