Cute throwback to Disney movies of the past. I love jazz and the New Orleans setting and this was a great little film. Looked awesome on blu ray and had solid voice acting across the board.

January 4, 2012fb223580I still don't understand why she fell for the prince, he was kind of a doucheface. Tiana kicked butt, she didn't need him. This movie made me want to go to Nawlins even more!

This movie is without a doubt one of my favourites even if it is a relatively new one. I prefer 2D animation to 3D and have always thought that Disney did it better when they did it old school. Aside from the throw back to the old animantion style, it was genuinely refreshing to ... read more

Princess Tiana: Daddy never got what he wanted... but he had what he NEEDED: love! He never gave that up, and neither will I!
The Princess and the Frog is a magnificent and ambitious animation from Walt Disney. I find that a lot of animated family movies almost beg you to like ... read more -

I'm all for the revitalization of 2D animation, but in no way is this the movie to go about promoting it. This is such a bad adaption of the story and runs a fine line between blatantly racist and playful stereotypes. I mean I love cute little frogs, but it was not enough to make... read more

Sure to become a Disney classic. I was happy to see them go back to hand-drawn animation. Such a great story, it was just a little sad that little bug fell in love with the moon.

Princess and the Frog was a relief, a relief from all the crappy hand drawn movies these days. The plot was enjoyable and funny in my opinion. The voice acting was tremendous. But the true gem was the music, it was the best part, I always sing the songs, seriously, I think its... read more

This film feels like a classic Disney film in every way, but incorporates a new southern twist to an old tale. The animation is really enjoyable and keeps to it's traditional style and although the story line is predictable, it's what you expect from a Disney film; a happily ever... read more

Depending on how big of a Disney buff you are, this is one you will immediately fall in love with after you first see it. "The Princess and the Frog" is a fairytale film set in New Orleans during the Jazz Age. Tiana is a waitress who never has any time for fun and adventure. She ... read more

Most of The Princess and the Frog looks more like one of Disney's straight-to-DVD sequels than like their animated classics, and the few big, fun musical set-pieces are brought down by second-rate son... Full Review
It's nice to know that the studio behind Cinderella can still cast a spell in two dimensions. Full Review
Randy Newman provides the score, which, if short of memorable tunes, is rich in authenticity, with a mixture of local flavoured ragtime, zydeco and jazz. Full Review
The visual artistry of the song-and-dance numbers captivates. Full Review
Disney's The Princess and the Frog is an instant classic and one of the year's best films. Full Review
The way she resists the fantasy formula is admirable, but ultimately (and disappointingly) futile. Full Review
Light on its feet, confident and modern, it's the work of a company hungry for respect and eager to remind moviegoers of its enchanting roots. Full Review
You can exhale now: The Princess and the Frog is a triumph on every one of the myriad levels it has been asked to succeed on. Full Review
