This remake is a lot like the original, except of course it tries to modernize the story, make it more realistic for today's audience. It's good, actually, but it will never be as good as the original, of course.

I always liked this film, it was innocent and fun, it was a cute movie and I miss Linsey Lohan like this, before she went downhill.

Lindsay Lohan at her best. Her English accent is quite good and I really loved the story.

The remake of the Haley Mills film of the same name starring a young Lyndsey Lohan, taking the part of trans Atlantic twins.

October 1, 2010fb733768972The Parent Trap is a lovable kids comedy that I loved since the day it was released. It will never get old, even though it is a little silly. I love the Parent Trap, and everything it has going for it, the entire way through

It never fails to amaze me that something as essentially light and pointless as Disney's remake of The Parent Trap can clock in at over two hours in length. Full Review
Richardson and Quaid, who is beginning to resemble Harrison Ford in his rumpled mode, have great chemistry. It's a shame it takes so long for the movie to bring them together to demonstrate it. Full Review
Responsibility for making this Trap tender rests heaviest on the bird-size shoulders of auburn-haired, freckle-faced Lohan, now 11, who won the unenviable job of making us forget about Hayley Mills --... Full Review
The technology for twinning a single young actress is considerably more seamless than it was in 1961, and Lohan is a perky charmer. Full Review
The whole thing is pleasant enough -- provided you can suspend your disbelief for long enough to accept that all English people talk in plummy accents, swan around Kensington and have butlers. Full Review
Delightful remake is great for the whole family. Full Review
