Started off great and than unfortunately drifted into slapstick comedy with few truly good moments. I was entertained throughout most of it, therefore I reluctantly give it 3 stars. BUT don't expect much: the plot is predictable, the acting mediocre at best, the comedy is mostly ... read more

This film was pretty fast paced, funny, and still managed to be warm hearted. The protagonist was played by Daniel Letterle, a very cute, talented young actor. It was great to see Meredith Baxter, Richard Riehle, and Joel Brooks do a fun, light hearted comedy. The real star, i... read more

"Based on a comic strip" hints that there might not be an "ending", but it is a fun look at trying to find the right relationship. Entertaining.

Fun movie. Can't say that there is much substance and sometimes that is ok if the story holds up and it does in this film. I did enjoy the interaction between Ethan and Punch (haven't we all met a Punch at the clubs?). Diego Serrano is absolutely delicious. Yeah, lets play ball!

There was a time that my social life seemed to resemble Ethan Green's so the movie definitely struck a cord in me. It was hilariously romantic.

This movie is great! I've never seen the comic strip, but I would love to start reading them now. I really felt like I could relate to the character of Ethan b/c his love life is so like mine.

I was very surprised at how good this movie was. Atypical of many other gay movies out there. I thought it was refreshing and very entertaining. The Hat Sisters however steal every scene they are in.

This was one of those B movies that could have been exceptional if they aimed higher. A cute story, decent acting, but shoddy production values brought the whole thing down...

Ethan's social life might be un-fabulous, but he eventually learns to find someone special. Many of the characters are totally relatable, making this movie my personal favorite.

Not that great. Since it's a "gay" movie, I was really hoping for the best but this was a let down. Maybe if you already know about the comic strip it's based off of, it would be better. I would not recommend buying this (as I did). If you can rent it, then maybe check it out for... read more
Critic Reviews
There's no visual life to it, the humor is lazy and broad, and the players are as two-dimensional as their cartoon origins suggest.
This feels like a school play that someone has dragged to film school and turned into a final project. Full Review
In his directing debut, David Vernon, formerly a first assistant and second assistant director, opts for the look of a cable TV pilot. Full Review
The film's tone veers from misjudged sincerity to shrill sketch comedy of the broadest stripe. Full Review
With words streaming out of their mouths instead of into bubbles, Ethan and his gang of past, present and future lovers sound laughingly unbelievable. Full Review
There's so much ill-conceived fluff floating about the 'elusive true love' themes that by the finish, Ethan Green hasn't as much substance as a good Looney Tunes. Full Review
Not un-entertaining, but director George Bamer's debut feature may play better on video.
Ethan Green may not exactly be fabulous, but it is pleasantly diverting. Full Review
The mostly unfunny -- and unfabulous -- trifle never rises above sitcom level.
