its a prety good movie and john cena proved to be a pretty good actor but its an entertaining action packed movie though cenas character did remind me of halloweens killer where he is practicular indestructable which makes it unbelievable and annoying

This is just useless action, violence, stupid catchphrases and bad-effect-explotions. Who are they trying to reach out to with this crap? And the car chase is gotta be the most stupid thing I've ever seen. Robert Patrick was good offcourse...but whata fuck?...We all knew that Cen... read more

Big action with huge explosions is what this movie is all about. Maybe a little unreal and over the edge for my opinion. The cast isn't bad John Cena performance is exactly what he know to do kicking and fighting all the time, Kelly Carlson looking hot and Robert Patrick with av... read more

"Is this what you do all day? I had a GameBoy... they took it"

Critic Reviews
It's not a good film by any practical standard, but The Marine is bad in just the right way, a mindless throwaway that's at least smart enough not to take itself too seriously. Full Review
The Marine proves a poor showcase for the homeboy charisma Cena shows week in and out with the WWE. Full Review
The genius of the film is in its unapologetically obvious crowd-pleasing moments. Full Review
Such bizarre touches remind one of the appeal of WWE televised bouts. Full Review
The Marine will trigger a strong sense of deja vu for anyone who recalls the slapdash, slam-bang action fare that was standard-issue drive-in fodder during the 1970s. Full Review
An unrepentant B-movie, The Marine features the sort of bare-bones plot that would in previous years have served as a vehicle for the likes of Charles Bronson.
These guys don't much about making movies, but they know how to stage a smack down. Full Review
It's a shame that The Marine did not receive a theatrical release in Australia. Not only was much of it shot here, but as an action popcorn adventure, it has reasonable merit. Full Review
