This is neither one of Zwick's or Cruises best films, but it's not bad. It's not the sweeping epic it probably could (or should) have been, but it's an entertaining and rousing action/adventure film nonetheless.

Never have I yelled t the screen more than during this movie. Amazing from start to finish. Tom Cruise did a great job in a role that pretty much anyone could have done and he made it his own.
This is an excellent movie. The Samurai were a group of warriors who would give their lives to protect the Emporor of Japan, down to the last man. An American soldier, played by Tom Cruise, becomes one of these heros and was the sole survivor of a battle.
The Last Samurai can't hold a candle to "When the Last Sword iis Drawn". this is a Japanese film on the same era, and you'll notice Tom Cruise is no where to be found.
This is a great film on the culture of the China people and the feel of this movie was Epic. Its really a great movie and good acting. Very must worth veiwing!! If you haven't seen it , Check it out, Enjoy the fanstaty of this movie.
I watch it most every time it's on cable and I happen to tune in to it - that's the secret to my two star rating system.
this was awful!!! i thought it was gonna get better but it didnt. it was an awful movie there aernt a lot of movies worse than this.
good movie. mel gibson would have done it better, but i really enjoyed it anyway. must see epic with good values.
