The Ladies is not an excellent comedy by any means, but it definitely isn't the worst. I think the film is a bit underrated, and though I agree it's not an excellent comedy, it still is a fun, entertaining mindless film that has a few good laughs throughout the film. This is not ... read more

one of the 2 or 3 funniest movies ever made, but just too crude to justify

This movie was a lot of fun. I liked Tim Meadows' "Ladies Man" character.

I watched it and enjoyed most fo it, but the parts I didn't like where stupid, annoying, and downright dumb. I think that is why I really disliked the film, but nor for what it was, but for what it could of been.

Hi everybody,
Today is October 13. I saw THE LADIES' MAN at the Citiplace 11 (on opening night) in the 7:00 hour in the "South Park... room" exactly ten years ago today. The only trailer I remember from that night was Miss Congeniality.

Tim Meadows can be funny, but he isn't in this. There are some good moments, but overall I think you could find something better.

Not really a fan. Sadly the funniest part of this movie is Will Ferrel and his group looking for revenge. Otherwise this movie is pretty forgettable.

It's funnier than the SNL sketches, yet keeps true to the original. Billy Dee Williams also plays his role perfectly.

A waste of space.
The Ladies Man joins the crop of terrible movies based on Saturday Night Live skits, and offers serious competition for a title as the worst. Full Review
Arguably the limpest film yet spun out from a Saturday Night Live sketch.
Though he's worth a chuckle in a sketch, neither Leon nor Meadows is interesting enough to build a movie around.
Pointless, sporadically funny exercise. Full Review
As the plot points arrive, they're all stretched to the max. Even the film's most unexpected bit ... goes on and on and on. Full Review
80 minutes of comic mistiming and missed opportunities.
The results are disconcertingly bland under Reginald Hudlin's direction. Full Review
