I am completely obsessed with the show, but this movie was a little lack luster and kinda gross. I can't be mad at the boys though, because how many movies are as good as the show they were adapted from?!

The film adaption of the cult British show "The Inbetweeners" will be laugh out loud funny for those who love the show. I love The Inbetweeners and I was worried about the movie becoming an overwhelmingly dull cash in. It's a cash in yes. But a very entertaining one, and a hilari... read moreous finale for the much loved series. Become a member of the pussay patrol one more time, and watch it if you haven't already!

High-School Teen comedies of this type have been making regular appearances at our cinema screens. The "American Pie" series and "Superbad" are probably the most successful but although this may not reach the heights as those - in terms of revenue - it is a far better film.
Dump... read moreed by love of his life Carli (Emily Head), end of schooler Simon (Joe Thomas), along with mates Will (Simon Bird), Jay (James Buckley) and Neil (Blake Harrison), decides to head for Malia hoping for "sun, sand, sex, sea and sex". Cue crap hotels, embarrassing sunburn, willing girls, alcohol and a boat party of a lifetime.
What makes this film work so well is the appeal of it's well drawn characters. The camaraderie between the four friends is entirely believable and each of the performances are spot on. It's hard to find good comedy that has you laughing out loud these days, and even harder for it to keep the jokes flowing. This does both. Within the first ten minutes you'll get the gist of where this is heading when it depicts one of the main characters wearing a snorkel and using a pile of cooked ham to indulge his pleasures while watching Internet porn. As if that's not enough, his mum walks in. This is pretty much the level of vulgarity throughout, but make no mistake, it's side-splitting stuff. At one point, when our four protagonists have seemingly found love, the film looks like it may be losing it's momentum as it delves more into serious relationship territory but this lull is short lived and the profane foursome begin to spout their quick-witted lued jokes and sexual behaviour once again. It's when it gets back to doing what it does best that the film still manages to finish on a high note.
I didn't see much of the TV series from 2008, of which this originated from, but I will definitely rectify that and have a look back. If this is anything to go by, then the series should be a treat also. A consistently hilarious little comedy.

Wish I could say this was really good, but it's not. Firstly, I love the tv series. All 3 series are excellent.
This one I think fails because it takes them on vacation, out of their normal setting. There are one or two funny parts, and the characters are so good, you can't help... read more but smile at most of it. But then it goes crap about one hour in by trying to do a happy ending ...........spoilers......................................
Give me a break. One of these dorks would struggle to get the girl, let alone all four. This is what is funny about the series, that they are such idiots and full of crap!
I didn't hate it, but really they did ruin it at the end.

I shouldn't like it, on paper is sounds pretty awful but I love the TV series because it isn't as unrealistic as most teen comedies, I can see a lot of me and my mates in the 4 of them. Our language was crude, we did silly things, we were totally useless with girls etc etc. There... read more is nothing more pathetic than a 16 year old boy, fact. The Inbetweeners capture this brilliantly, it is contemporary but I can still totally relate to them, even though I was in their position 17 years ago. Anyway, the film version is an extra long episode really - that is, three really good episodes back to back. There is a long tradition of British sitcoms making a film version abroad but this is the exception in that they do exactly what most teenagers do after they leave school and get pissed up in Malia/Ibiza/Magaluf etc. They do not get mixed up in a mafia job, a bank robbery or a mistaken identity spy operation. It's very rude, very silly, very funny and very charming in its own little way. I will miss the Inbetweeners very much. One of the funniest scenes of all time, the boys dancing up to the girls in an empty club - I was in hysterics. If you haven't seen the TV series before - you should, but do not attempt watching this film unless you have!

Kind of like a British equivalent to the American Pie movies. That is to say: crass, raunchy, vulgar and very funny. Up until recently, I was completely oblivious to the fact that it's based on a popular TV show. But it has definitely peeked my interest now with this lol-worthy m... read moreovie adaptation. Sometimes the dialogue in these type of Brit flicks go a bit over my head, what with the Cockney accents and indiscernible slang. But thanks to the brilliance of subtitles, that was never any problem here. I'm sure it's not a comedy to everyone's taste, but if you have an open mind, I think you'll find a lot to enjoy about it. As for me, I think it's the best and most entertaining comedy that I've seen all year. Highly recommended, even to all the non-Europeans out there.

Picks up right after the series ended, the four lads head off to Greece for a piss up holiday. Just like the series, filled with sick jokes and plenty of vomit. Very good and just a shame that this could be the end of them.

Well its a brilliant way to end the much loved sitcom!
It still has its brilliant humour which is wonderful and the movie is filled with twice as much cringe factor and clunge! :)
All the loved characters from the tv series are just superb and is a laugh a minute.
If you love the... read more series then you won't be disappointed with the movie!

Love the TV series so I was looking forward to seeing this immensely and to a degree I wasn't too disappointed. Its not as good as the half hour episodes but I didn't expect it to be, there are allot of gross moments during the film which are funny but not as much good dialog, I ... read morebelieve the characters aren't quite as good as they used to be really.

The original series was brilliant and allot of that was down to the characters, Bird as 'Will' was the main reason I got into the show with his fantastic performance in the very first episode. His facial expressions, the way he moved and his little quips which were fast witty and you could kinda relate to him. The show has lost that somewhat as its progressed and the film really does show this, there is very little really good funny dialog in the film which is a shame, allot of swearing of course as you would expect but that loses its charm quickly.

So the film is your typical English youth on holiday plot and it does wreak of it haha the type of place they go to, the type of young people there, the look of the area etc...without trying to sound like a snob its all very common, chavy and very accurate on how British youth behave abroad in certain Euro destinations. The plot is really very unoriginal and was done before by Harry Enfield with 'kevin n Perry Go Large' so I was disappointed when I read about it, there is a heavy romantic side to the film too which is nice and expected I guess which does equal the predictable happy ending with the guys all slightly growing up and reversing on their attitudes.

Nothing too much to shout about here really, there are some very funny moments (not many) and there are allot of really gross out moments and cheap laughs. Not as clever as the TV episodes and not as witty but for me this really is down to the fact they aren't in the school environment anymore where allot of the humour you could relate to from your own school days. If you like the TV show then I reckon you will enjoy this but maybe feel disappointed by its lack of sharp bite but I'm also sure you probably know to expect that.

The first series was and still is the best, the very first episode being, for me, the highlight with Bird at his best.
