A carefree young woman wakes up to discover her greatest nightmare is a reality -- she's become trapped in the body of Rob Schneider -- in this shape-shifting comedy. Jessica (Rachel McAdams) is a bea... read more read more...utiful teenager whose life would be the envy of any high school student -- she's head of the cheerleading squad, her boyfriend, Billy (Matthew Lawrence), is the quarterback of the football team, and she's pretty and popular enough to get nearly anyone to do what she wants. However, Jessica is soon to find out how the other half lives, in more ways than she counted upon; she shoplifts a pair of earrings from an shop specializing in African curios run by Mambuza (Angie Stone), unaware that they carry the curse of Princess Nawa. Thanks to the curse, the next morning Jessica awakes to find that her spirit has entered the body of Clive (Rob Schneider), a sweaty and hirsute small-time crook. As Jessica tries to figure out how she can return to her old body, she has to lead the cheerleading squad to victory and attend her senior prom while looking like a less-than-handsome 30-year-old man. Billy is understandably puzzled by the changes in Jessica, while her best friend, April (Anna Faris), finds her feelings about Jessica change a bit once she volunteers to be her prom date. The Hot Chick is the first theatrical feature for director Tom Brady; Brady co-wrote an earlier Schneider vehicle, The Animal, and was on the writing staff for his television series Men Behaving Badly. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

No disappointment here to be honest because it delivered exactly what I expected judging from the cover. Definitely funny and it's just a nice light flick that gave me a break from my usual choices which was nice.

I thought it was hilarious crap! A pretty entertaining situation and I really get a kick out of dumb stuff like this. I had lot's of fun watching this get stupid and stupider. A good choice for a groupie watch.

Thoroughly enjoyable, just at times a little too much for me, especially with all the grossness that Rob Schneider puts into some of his performances.

I watched this one night when I couldn?t sleep and it was the only thing on. It was rubbish and it helped me sleep.

An absolutely atrocious attempt at a comedy. It's one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen in my life. Rob Shneider needs to stop making films because they are never good, he is better as a supporting character in Adam Sandler films.

So funny. I loved this movie.

Braindead bodyswap comedy. Probably great if the idea of seeing Rob Scheider parading around in a G-string is your idea of a good time.

I am stil in awe at myself that I actually watched this. I'm glad Rachel McAdams got out of dreck like this to move on to infinitely superior flicks like Mean Girls.

The movie's devices are so feeble, I think it was written on a napkin in a Denny's the day before principal photography began.

Enough to make any woman or gay man wish they could beam themselves to planet Zoltron. Full Review

A surprisingly good-natured throwback to the '80s heyday of the body-switching genre. Full Review

I will say this for the film -- it's in color. And, it was mostly in focus. And I really can't say anymore for it beyond that. Full Review

By the standards of knucklehead swill, The Hot Chick is pretty damned funny. Full Review

Instead of the easy laughs, Schneider and Brady are going for something a little deeper. Full Review

This unabashedly stupid comedy is, well, unabashedly stupid.

The verdict: Two bodies and hardly a laugh between them.

Wallows in gender stereotypes, solidifying the impression that Schneider can't compete with the likes of Sandler and fellow SNL alumnus Mike Myers.
