    This film is so many shades of awesome. I love how Liam Neeson continues to kick ass as an action star so late in his career. You'd think that this is film is an ensemble piece, but it's really all about Ottway. I was worried about the realism of the Wolves, but the filmmakers ... read morepulled it off effortlessly. There are many moments when the environment is very dark and you can't see much, but it only adds to the aesthetic. Can't believe I waited so long to see this film.

    The Grey is a very good thriller that just puts you in the movie and has you entertained during the whole movie. The Grey is about Ottway who is a sniper that protects oil workers in the Alaskan wilderness. Ottway has had a dark past but right now he's trying to put that beside h... read moreim as he heads home on a plane. Ottway and his plane end up having bad luck because the plane soon crashes leaving Ottway and the survivors to die. Ottway and the survivors now have to fight for survival in the brutally cold weather and pack of wolves that are hunting them down. One thing that makes this The Grey such a good movie is that it puts you in the movie. This movie is so thrilling and the movie brings the environment to life. This movie felt so real because this movie showed how brutal that weather was out in Alaska and I felt that danger could happen at any second. When a movie makes you feel that your in danger you know it's a good movie. Another thing that makes this movie so good is the story. This movie never get's boring because of all the thrills and even when the story starts to slow down it's still very good because of well written script. This movie is also very suspenseful and I loved that. There were many thrills in this film and also a few scenes were I jumped out of my chair. I mentioned earlier that this movie slows down and another good thing that can come from that is that it builds the suspense. I mentioned this before but the whole time I was watching I felt in danger because anything could happen so even when the movies slowed down you still think that something could happen at any moment. Another thing that makes this movie so good is Liam Neeson's performance. Neeson never fails to give a great performance and he is just amazing in this movie because he played his character so well. I really liked the way Neeson's character was written because you see him change throughout the whole movie. Neeson also has a very good supporting cast that includes Frank Grillo, Dermot Mulroney, and Dallas Roberts. Overall The Grey is a very enjoyable film and a movie that you should check out.
