The people rating this movie 100% must be fucked up in the head.

This movie is so cheesy and filled with cliches. It's almost ridiculous how cheesy it was. The moments, the acting, were all predictable. Sure it was a nice movie movie to watch with family, but it was boring as ... read morehell. Never again.

An interesting movie, very cute and sweet! Awww...it was worth sitting down and watching.

Yes, sweet, cute, romantic... but just not up to par. I guess if you're okay with the Hallmark Channel level of films you'll find this one enjoyable. I found it eye-rolling more than a few times with its obviousness and surface level romance. Edward Asner does ground it somewh... read moreat with a fairly good father figure, but the main love interest is not given enough screen time to show WHY she would be worth fighting over. It's all got a feeling of being "summarized" instead of unfolding naturally... and the constant music bed adds to that mood. It is what it is, though... and I did like Cody Cullen.

There were some contnuity flaws that could have been worked out.
    * When Cody goes into the diner its dry, and clear,, when he walks out there it snow in the gutters ,, its all wet and cloudy..

*some the pictures were uneven on the wall in the house.
    * Faith is leaning against the door jam in the hospital,, but when they back off for a view of the 5 of them she s standing like a maniquin with fist half clenched.
but aside from things like that,,, i keep watching it
something about this "wounded" soul finding the father he lost as a young boy,,, and the family filled with love and admiration.....
John's jestures were perfect all of them....

Enchanting movie. Great cast, well done. That said, there are some discrepanices within the movie, mostly to due with the military aspect of the film. The jacket shows Cody (John Newton) as a E-5 Sergeant, but he plays a Master Sergeant E-8. His commander asks him to bring back t... read morehe dog tags of the solider who dies to his "widow" but they never were married.

Those types of details are small, and the film is one of Hallmarks best flicks, no small feat.

This is one of my favorite Christmas movies to date.

A small town sent personalized Christmas cards to the troops overseas. A man received one of the cards and kept it close to his heart the whole time he was over there fighting. When a bunch of his buddies are killed in the l... read moreine of duty, he is sent home. His sole purpose: Find the family who sent him the card that got him through the tough days. Who does he find? A hard working family, some of whom are vets. And who sent him the card? A girl with a guy of her own - a wine seller who does quite a bit of biz with France. Who do you think the family likes? But the more important question - In the end, who does the girl like?

A fun family treat with a slightly serious side. (However, it's nothing like Fallen Angel.) Go see this one! I think you'll like it!

It was alright; nothing special. No chemistry throughout the film, though the story wasn't bad. It seemed a little canned; another milled Christmas movie. The only thing, it had aspects that weren't bad, like, scenery. It would be a decent sunday afternoon Christmas-time movi... read moree. You could tell Ed Asner was drunk during filming. In one scene, he was stumbling and slurring his speech. I wouldn't really recommend it.

This is a typical chick flick. Was not a bad movie though. If you like Lifetime movies, you will love this. It was a predictable movie. Good movie to watch on a cold say with the wife.

One of the best Christmas love stories I have ever seen. It is so heartwarming and beautifully written. I loved it and could watch it over and over. It gave me such a warm feeling inside. Me and my husband were penpals, before we got married and I find this story brings back so many memories for me and it touched my heart. It is possible to find the love of your life through letters! This is a great movie and I recommend that you see it. It's a truly wonderful and inspiring story!
