This is a great movie that is always fun to watch. The plot is great, the characters are really fun to watch and the Hawaii backdrop is a nice touch. Owen Wilson, to me, is always funny and this was no exception. I really like the comedy approach to noir, for some reason it just ... read more

Frank: I'm desperate for this money and we're friend, right?
Jack Ryan: Yeah, we're friends. But, you know, it's the type of friendship where if you're in trouble, I probably won't be there for you. Just like I wouldn't expect you to be there for me. It's a more honest friendship... read more -

Actually, not that bad. The director can expose the beauty of Hawaii even just a little piece of that island. The story itself just ordinary, nothing special. The idea was pretty good, but the story didn't make well. A little weak I think... And choosing Owen Wilson as the main c... read more

There was one line of dialogue I liked in this movie but otherwise it truly, truly sucked. It was a contrived piece of shit that few films can match.

One of those con-man films where everybody has a motive and you don't find out who was "actually" conning who till the very end - which comes quickly. This is a short film and the "reveal" at the end is very non-thrilling. Even with such a great cast the film can't rise above med... read more

The story has been so poked and prodded and spun around it barely knows how to end. Full Review
Boring, unsexy, styleless, sluggish and physically ugly.
Insipid potboiler set against the far more enticing surf and sand of Oahu's North Shore.
Given a choice between shovelling my driveway or going to see The Big Bounce again, I would choose the driveway. Full Review
The director, George Armitage, has a good feel for laid-back, hipster black comedy but no impulse whatsoever to keep the narrative moving. Full Review
In every other way, The Big Bounce is a dreadful exercise, with a script full of contradictions and empty gestures and a leading lady who's such a novice it hurts to watch her. Full Review
The Big Bounce smacks of one of those films that, after sitting on some studio shelf too long, was hastily re-edited to get a PG-13 rating and then stuffed with filler material to beef it up to 88 min... Full Review
The movie is all over the place, never jelling into anything sharp or intriguing or funny. Full Review
