Giiirl, I do not even care how many people know how much I love this movie. Although the so-called "serious" problem Kristy had with her spineless dad was boring, this brings back childhood memories to the max. Sissy Spacek's daughter was surprisingly impressive, Rachel Leigh Coo... read more

This is exactly what you'd expect it to be, so I wouldn't feel justified in bashing it. It's just a bunch of really good babysitter friends that make a daycare to pool together their strengths. A lot of future female stars were jump-started by this. Somehow I found this just as t... read more

Of course it's a cheesy kid movie, however, I was obsessed with the book series as a child. I also watched the Disney channel TV series, so when the movie came out I was really excited and watched it all the time. So for me, it's still great!

It's hard to put the hard-hitting drama of the Baby Sitters Club series to film, but they did it...they did it to the sunflowery Baby Sitters Club finest.

OK. So when this movie came out I swear it was great...but now I realize how lame it is and obviously how lame I was. In my defense I was only 12 when this movie came out and the books kicked a**.

This was cute. Rachel Leigh Cook is so young in it but looks the exact same. The 17 and 13 year old relationship was a little odd though.

What fun memories. Reading the baby-sitters club books and watching the movies on vhs. How outdated is that?

I used to love the books, so when the movie came out I was a little excited. It's a little childish now, but at the time these girls were among my best friends.

Critic Reviews
A beautiful film that possesses the power to enchant all ages. Full Review
85 minutes doesn't provide an adequate format for developing seven distinct characters. Full Review
Were there not 125 million of Ann M. Martin's Club books currently in print, this cinematically destitute movie might have gone directly to video.
A colorful, buoyant, loving tribute to the notion of girlfriends forever. Full Review
Fans and would-be fans of Ann M. Martin's books may be enthralled, but, for the rest of us, The Baby-Sitters Club is something of an endurance contest. Full Review
Though the script is predictable, it's not too clumsy. Full Review
A girlfriends story with a great message. Full Review
Salutes the virtues of friendship. Full Review
The Baby-Sitters Club has a youthful buoyancy and whimsical rhythm that catches even the most jaundiced (i.e., 16-year-old) viewers up in its play of light and energy. Full Review
