Another one under the category of okay to have on in the background. Nothing more. Possibly a little worse than the average rom com.

A badly produced, horribly clichéd, sadly dreary romantic comedy starring Uma Thurman in another role that feels oh so awkward on the supernova, and hunks Colin Firth and Jeffery Dean Morgan. The bulk of romantic comedies aren't anything to write home about, but sometimes they wo... read more

This romantic comedy is based on a rather fresh, even if unrealistic idea: taking revenge on the radio show host who ruined your marriage by making her your wife through hacking the according papers. That makes for plenty of confusion and wonderfully embarrassing encounters, or c... read more

There is no other way to describe this movie other than cute. There's a little hiccup in Emma's plan to marry Richard. Turns out she's already married to Patrick because of a computer glitch. It's funny and has its share of romance> you sorta feel bad as it's sorting itself out,... read more

I thought that this was cute primarily because of Colin Firth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who is an adorable hunk). Uma Thurman invented the word "overacting". But all in all cute and romantic.

There's little fun in being asked to identify with yet another female character who spends her running time being shamed like a dog who soiled the rug. Full Review
Sub-lousy hackneyed crapola all the way, a complete disaster, one of the year's worst movies. Full Review
The film is hinged on unapologetic formula, looking to enchant the viewer through the act of repetition, but the writing isn't smart enough to wipe the dust off the plot. Full Review

Words almost fail me after watching this terrible romantic comedy from Griffin Dunne which is perilously described as a "sort of Carole Lombard screwball comedy". Would that it were. Full Review
Sadly, as Thurman dithers between her two suitors - one a fiery free spirit, the other as wet as an otter's pocket - her decisions become ever more baffling. Even her sparky performance fails to fire ... Full Review
A plot of insufferable silliness contrives to keep the lovers on tenterhooks and the audience in a permanent cringe, none of it helped by Thurman's thoroughly phony performance. Full Review
This week we learned that 99% of Sun readers want a return to capital punishment. I learned that 100% of me wants it for 100% of people involved in this romcom. Full Review
