Hubble, Bubble throw a mix of Carrie, Craft, I know what you did last summer into a cauldron and you get this low budget slasher. Borrows ideas from several films and then does it in a similar way on a lower budget. Very predictable, but if you're a fan of slasher films it might ... read more

Highly flawed and yet somehow it manages to entertain. It's pretty much Carrie all over again, with a few tweaks here and there. Best of all is Jenna Dewan who does look incredible. I don't think she needed witchcraft to make people do what she wanted. There's also some scenes wh... read more

I probably shouldn't have liked this movie as much as I did, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for 'there's-the-guy-I'm-gonna-kill-now-watch-me-go-kill-him' movies. Monsters getting thier revenge just warms the cockles of my heart, and that's what this movie is. Evil gets let out ... read more

Not as good as the "Final Destination" films, but It's still a good horror flick with very disturbing\bloody moments.

A good teen slasher horror film with plenty of gore and chills, and a solid performance by Jenna Dewan as a misfit high school student named Tamara Dewan who is longing for the forbidden love from a married teacher, through witchcraft she tries to put a love spell on him, but bef... read more

It's spectacular to see so much failure in one movie. I couldn't even recommend it on a ''so good it's bad'' basis because it really is not, it's just bad. Lame, boring, lazy.

Not scary nor funny at all. Ridiculously cliché'd, and suffers from bad acting from its lead, Tamara is a DTV title that will never be more than a DTV title.

February 1, 2012fb1532277942I thought this was decent. Not the usual slasher flick and the gore is limited to almost nothing. There's a few scenes but that wasn't bad at all. worth watching if your looking for a cheap horror movie.

A rather good revenge story. It is reminiscent of Carrie with a dash of witchcraft thrown in for good measure.
Critic Reviews
The film has its dubious pleasures.
This indie death-feast, directed by Jeremy Haft and penned by Jeffrey Reddick (co-writer of Final Destination), was initially slated to debut on video. Watching it, you'll wonder why the distributor c... Full Review
After a sly middle, the third act is just slasher-flick clichés; worse, it largely keeps Tamara offscreen. Villainy shouldn't be outsourced.
A mediocre little thriller that might have promised cheap fun on Blockbuster's direct-to-DVD shelf is instead destined to die a quick death on the big screen. Full Review
A low-budget horror film with even lower ambitions, Tamara is a movie of few innovations but one genuine, if unintentional, surprise.
Survives solely on the repetitive pleasures of genre. Full Review
You know things aren't going well when it gets tedious watching a teen girl strut around in short shorts and a loose top and you're waiting for her to use the ax and get it over with Full Review
A really dumb, derivative rip-off, slovenly constructed and played with the sort of ludicrous earnestness that just misses being bad enough to qualify as high camp. Full Review
Este aspirante a Carrie, a Estranha segue todas as convenções do gênero a ponto de se tornar previsível já aos 5 minutos de projeção, e o elenco de canastrões só piora a experiência.
