The follow-up to the ending makes it one of the best films ever. The pacing, the smart script, and the enthralling plot truly makes this movie a sci-fi movie that stands out of the pact... but the ending descends the movie tremendously. Still, the movie is a must watch.

Strange one this, hard to decide I'm kinda on the fence over it.
First of all the film looks good, they have definitely taken pages out of the 'Alien' book for the look and feel of Sunshine. Its very much a bunch of everyday working astros living together to get a job done, even ... read more -

A generous helping of "Alien".

Sunshine is a very thrilling Sci Fi action film with a good idea. But by the films end, it becomes silly as the film takes on an almost Event Horizon style story line, which makes the last 20 minutes seem pretty bland, annoying and almost forget the terrific first half of the fi... read more

The picture would be nothing, an incomplete Venn diagram, without Murphy. Full Review
On sci-fi's crowded table Boyle serves a fresh feast for our eyes, minds and hearts. Full Review
Sunshine, if a fireball, is one that warns us yet again of the danger of flying too close to the sun. Full Review
For Mr. Boyle, a Swiss Army knife of a filmmaker, there's always something new. Full Review
Other movies may explore the depths of outer space. This movie explores the shallows. Full Review
At a certain point, like a dying star about to pop into eternal nothingness, the movie can't be seen as anything -- it just implodes. Full Review
Sunshine comes with the promise of 2001: A Space Odyssey, as imagined by Danny Boyle. Even as Armageddon as imagined by Danny Boyle, it doesn't disappoint. Full Review
Sunshine quickly fades from near-brilliance to dim potboiler.
Not as good as you'd expect, but with Boyle expectations are almost unfairly high. Full Review
