America's Best Dance Crew: The Movie. What're you gonna expect? This movie is straight up made from cheese, the camera work was equivalent to TV soap opera camera work (except for the dance scenes), and the acting & dialogue was cringe inducing. But what works with "Step Up 3D" i... read mores the homage to all different dancing styles (from hip-hop to musicals) and the excellent choreography in the dancing scenes. This is one of those movies where you wanna fast forward through the movie till you hit a dance scene.

weak storyline but I enjoyed the dancing scenes it was so amusing.

Oh ma gosh, I should be sainted for sitting through another dance film with no substance, character structure, or for that matter, characters who anyone cares about. The plot could have veered into mass murder, and I wouldn't have batted an eye. Condescending to the audience's in... read moretelligence, the plot focuses on a warehouse, owned by...some guy, and inhabited with a flock of dancers. Comparing the three films, this resembles the first, a boring and clichéd dance movie with very little to care about except the frequent scenes of "battles" between crews. Looking over all the flaws of this disaster movie in the wrong genre, I think it was Luke, the owner of the loft, who irritated me the most. His attributes include: filmmaker (with a Flip Video. Ooh, fancy), no back-story that is either believable or worthy of screen time, and a personality that infuriates me. "You have an exam for a class that counts for twenty-five percent of your grade at a private university? Skip it and come dance with us!" What is the moral or message to this overhyped nonsense? Listen to the skeevy guy you meet in the park, then skip school, ignore your friends, and it'll all work out somehow? Nice for the kids to take away with. At least the second film featured some original choreography and sequences unrelated to the usual glosh of this genre. SU3 could not deliver on this, featuring an outdated soundtrack, lazy camerawork, and no chemistry between the romantic leads. Maybe it's better in 3-D, but I'm guessing suck can't be masked by a foot coming out of the screen.

Amazing film! The dance moves are out of this world and the guy is absolutely gorgeous.

Cast: Sharni Vinson, Rick Malambri, Adam G. Sevani, Alyson Stoner, Keith Stallworth, Kendra Andrews, Stephen Boss, Martín Lombard, Facundo Lombard, Oren Michaeli, Joe Slaughter

    Director: Jon Chu

Summary: This continuation of the Step Up saga centers on a motley crew of st... read morereet dancers who take on a talented squad of hip-hoppers with the help of an NYU freshman named Moose (Adam G. Sevani).

My Thoughts: "As far as the story-line goes, it was just OK. The acting could have been much better. But there is no denying the amazing talent this group of individuals have. The dancing is the reason for watching these types of films, and this one didn't disappoint. I am in complete aw of their talent. They dance flawlessly, as if it's as easy as breathing. It's great fun and very much entertaining. See this film if your a fan of the first two films or if you love dancing."

Too bad I missed out to watch this dance flick in 3D anyway I see amazing street dancing is spectacular. Director Jon Chu has assembled some of the best street dancers in the world. Great to see Adam G. Sevani from Step Up 2: The Streets and Alyson Stoner from the original... read more reprise their characters in this third instalment.
Sevani as Moose is the best character in this dance flick. He is believable, can act and is the only one with any character development. He also has pretty good charisma that makes him interesting to watch, and is quite funny. Aussie Sharni Vinson who plays stunningly beautiful and ripped nomad street dancer Natalie, is elevation and grace combined. The capoeira practice she performs with Luke (Rick Malambri) is high velocity precision. Chu is also a student of the classic musical. He films an homage to Singing in the Rain in a single take with Moose (Sevani) and his almost girlfriend Camile (Stoner) as they duet down the street - I totally like it!

Pretty corny acting, but the dance choreography is incredible!

Turn out not as good as I predict it before, and luckily I didn't stakes my money to watch it on theaters even many people say 3D version of this movie was really good... I already predicted the story from 'Step Up' franchise could never be better, so I wouldn't hope for a better... read more story.. But actually, this time the story was really not interesting as 2 previous encounter... And I must admit that the first 40 minutes of this movie was really boring, I didn't even believe that this movie was a part of 'Step Up' franchise! The dance wasn't as cool as in the second movie, but they had another great closing with those 'light' dance, that's amazing... Overall, it's not a great movie but it's an entertaining one, especially if you had spare time to kill...

Saw it again!! Pretty good dance moves I gotta say and the robot guy was amazing jaja couldn't get any better than that, it's clearly the best dance move movie of the 3 step up films but it lacked of a good story, nevertheless I would see it again!

    Two Worlds. One Dream.

    Groovy

This step up, tells the story of how Moose, from the last movie is caught in between the college life and his dancing passion. He joins a crew who has to win a battle to keep their `home`

Repetitive As im guessing you can tell from r... read moreeading the plot above, nothing has changed, the franchise continues with the samer story level. However this movie is the type of movie you dont search for a story, you go watch it because you want to have fun, and I guess this does guarantee a fun time.

Horrible actors, but great dancers, this movie incorporates different dance styles, from poppin to oldschool b-boy moves, and it just makes the movie Visually pleasing Plus this movie has some awesome special effects, its like vitamin to your eyes.

The soundtrack is amazing, like always we have some new hip-hop music, like T.I.´s Gotcha Back. But this movie has the real deal, this movie is the first movie to have DUBSTEP in their soundtrack, so two thumbs up for that.

Therefore this isnt a bad movie, if your looking to have some fun, watch some awesome dancing, and trust me the dancing is contagious . Go ahead, this movie is fun.

Moose: People dance because dance can change things. One move, can bring people together. One move, can make you believe like there's something more. One move, can set a whole generation free

    • Moose: You know, some famous guy once said: 'To travel is better than to arrive.' And I was like, 'What?' Because I used to think that there was only one path to take to where you want to be in life. But, if you choose that one path, it doesn't mean you have to abandon all the other ones.I realize it actually what happens along the way that counts; the stumbles, the falls, and the friendships. It's the journey and not the destination. You just gotta, I guess, trust that the future is gonna work itself out like it's supposed to.
